General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Spencer Thinks Twice, Wants Spring Ridge Deal After All?

General Hospital: Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez)

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will think twice about the decision he made to turn down Attorney Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) plea deal. Spencer may think that he will be perfectly safe inside Pentonville with both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) protection but it looks like he might chicken out.

General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine’s Alibi Didn’t Help

Spencer was visibly shocked in the courtroom at Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial when his alibi wasn’t even received by Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Arden (Jennifer Field). He was informed by Trina herself that the ADA had discredited his alibi before her father Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) stepped between them. He warned Spencer to stay away from Trina before he had a chance to explain himself and now he’s given up his freedom for nothing.

Trina asked him why he did it but Taggert wouldn’t let him explain, and he made a grand gesture sacrifice of his own freedom. By turning down the plea deal his great-uncle Martin got for him, he now faces a much more lengthy sentence in Pentonville Prison.

General Hospital Updates – Only A Short Time In Spring Ridge Now Sounds Attractive

Since giving up his freedom neither impressed Trina nor exonerated her, a short time in Spring Ridge in minimum security looks much more attractive. It’s a slap on the wrist compared to what he will get in Pentonville, and much less dangerous even with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) there. Of course, neither he nor anyone else has any idea that Ryan’s been faking his locked-in syndrome except Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is suspicious. Ryan has it down so good even his twin Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) can’t tell; but even at that, he won’t act just yet. But the big question is, can Spencer change his mind about the plea deal, or is it too late?

General Hospital: Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez)

District Attorney Robert Scorpio Hates Cassadines

The main reason Spencer turned down the plea deal is because of Cassadine’s family loyalty; he didn’t want to rat out his other great-uncle Victor. District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) may reinstate the plea deal because Spencer is Mayor Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) grandson, but he does hate Cassadines. Spencer knows that and he knows Victor would be dealt with very harshly and his grandmother Laura hates Victor.

Nevertheless, Spencer may be tempted to see if he can get the plea deal reinstated or perhaps try to get a different one. When he hears about the things that have gone on inside the walls of Pentonville, even with Sonny having called some shots in the past, he may just chicken out.

  1. […] The next few days find Spencer living a nightmare, not knowing whether he could have been the one who attacked Ava or not.  He was more interested in supporting Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) at GH and ran from the room where Victor remained, saying he couldn’t talk right then. However, if Victor had seen blood on Spencer’s clothes he’d have said it and he didn’t. […]
