The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) Spoilers: January 17 Marks A Special Dedication To Betty White
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that the show plans to pay tribute to the late actress Betty White, who played Ann Douglas on the CBS soap. White died this month days before her 100th birthday. Keep reading to find out how the show plans to honor this very special actress and humanitarian.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Betty White Will Be Honored
The show has decided to dedicate its Monday, January 17, episode to her. The Bold and the Beautiful chose the date because it would have been the legendary actress’s 100th birthday.
White passed away on New Year’s Eve, 2021. At that time the show was on hiatus, but since the soap films weeks in advance, it is expected that the episode in question will have a dedication to White. Perhaps at some time in the future, the soap will address her passing as she was the mother of Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) and the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), and Stephanie’s husband Eric Forrester (John McCook) remains on the show.
The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Betty White Played Ann Douglas
White was involved in bombshell storylines over the years. She was not a regular cast member but her character played a pivotal part as Ann Douglas, the mother of Forrester matriarch Stephanie Forrester. Stephanie’s father physically abused her as a child and at one point Stephanie confronted Ann with this devastating information.
Betty White’s character was largely unable to admit to the truth and this caused tremendous friction between her and Stephanie. Ironically it was therapist Taylor Hayes (then Hunter Tylo, now Krista Allen) who helped Stephanie come to terms with her childhood. She helped her to understand that her past played a major role in how she treated her family members in the present day.
The CBS Soap Will Honor Betty White
At one point Stephanie and Ann were able to spend time together during the Christmas holiday in spite of the tension between them. Later the show placed Ann in a storyline involving one’s right to die. Ann had a terminal illness and she fought to die on her own terms. She did not wish to die in a hospital bed and requested that her family help her to pass away while at the ocean. She got her final wish, with Stephanie and Pam beside her as she left this earth.
