90 Day Fiancé spoilers and updates tease that during season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Evelin Villegas stayed with Corey Rathgeber’s family in Washington. However, it turned out there were problems. Now, as the couple prepares to get married for a second time, Corey is disappointed that his family won’t attend. It seems the entire family is boycotting what should be the (second) happiest day of his life.

Corey’s brother, Matt, revealed the bad news that his American family won’t be flying down to Ecuador for the wedding. This means he will have no family at the wedding and apparently, his best friend Raul won’t be there, thanks to Evelin.
Corey has the sympathy of 90 Day Fiancé fans, who continue to slam Evelin for what they call her evil ways. On the other hand, it seems Evelin hates traveling to the US and is actively trying to keep Corey away from his family.
The reason is probably simple – it could be because Corey’s family didn’t make Evelin feel welcome when she stayed with them.
90 Day Fiancé Updates – Evelin Villegas And The Wedding
While season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way prepares to end in two weeks, fans will see Corey and Evelin wed for the second time. It seems she is making sure that she controls the wedding. It was Evelin that told Corey not to invite his BMF, Raul, while he is already upset that his own family members refuse to accept his invitations.
Corey is sad at the lack of support he is getting from the family. It turns out his mother, Linda, did want to attend, despite the fact that she doesn’t like to travel. However, Corey’s father, Gary, died in January 2019, and his brother Matt says he won’t attend. This led to Linda being uncomfortable about traveling to Ecuador alone.
Corey tried to explain how his relationship with everyone has deteriorated, but Matt did assure him that they still love him, as they “obviously are family.” However, he said that because Corey has spent the last three or four years in Ecuador, they aren’t as close as they used to be.
On top of this, his family is bitter over him leaving them all behind, while spending his life savings on Evelin. Matt said that she is the one making decisions for Corey, without listening to his opinion. While he does support his brother getting married, he still has reservations.
One of the main problems is that Corey’s family is of the Mormon faith. She has already said that she never wants to become a Mormon. In fact, she said on the show that she hopes he will get out of Mormonism completely. Evelin feels Corey’s family is judging her because she is unwilling to convert.
Meanwhile, Matt eventually did admit that the reason the family is staying away from the 90 Day Fiancé stars’ wedding is that they feel Evelin is keeping Corey away from both the US and their family.
