The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) isn’t making an intentional mistake. He actually believes that his wife is being shielded from unnecessary stress.
B&B fans know that Finn’s lack of experience in dealing with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) makes him naive. But that fact is infinitely compounded by the reality that she is his birth mother and that he’s confiding in Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), who also has no history with Sheila.
Then, adding to his unknown, coming woes, are the teasers about Jack Finnegan (Ted King) being more than Finn’s adoptive father.

So, Paris has basically taken the screen time that her sister, Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), used to have. This wasn’t exactly a one-for-one swap, but it’s fair to offer that general comparison.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has taken Paris under her wing. Finn was on board with that, as he felt bad for her living situation.
Zoe’s quick exit from Los Angeles, California, meant that Paris couldn’t handle the rent required to stay in her sister’s apartment. A roommate could have been found like, maybe Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz). Steffy could have authorized a bump in pay or have set Paris up at a friend or colleague’s living space. But White’s character couldn’t have become Finn’s confidant in that scenario.
The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Text Access Not Questioned
One plot hole involved Finn not questioning how Sheila got his phone number. That’s not something he or anyone who he knows would have given her, which then allowed the text message to be sent.
Finn wasn’t shown to have called the hospital to see if Sheila used that source to contact him, which she did. He is logical and could have made that easy connection, right?
Soap fans know that they are asked to suspend belief in order to allow a plotline to be developed. The specific point being raised in this section is relevant and could be revisited in the future. But in the meantime, the audience is expected to believe that Finn isn’t being detailed oriented because he’s still digesting having met his birth mother on his wedding day and the resulting drama that followed.
Jack Finnegan’s Reaction Implied Answer
Assuming that Jack is Finn’s father could mean that he kept the secret because Sheila was pregnant while King’s character was in the early years of his marriage to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). This is the other point that can be questioned as a plot hole.
Wouldn’t Li, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), or Steffy have drawn that conclusion at the Sinn wedding reception? If that enlightenment didn’t happen then, plausible because of all the action, how about since?
With whoever determines what, Jack’s intense reaction implied that he was Finn’s actual father. His anger appeared to cover his own duplicity, rather than simply being a reaction to Sheila’s arrival. Whatever is the full truth will be revealed in time on B&B.
