The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) status as Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) intended wife will become a problem. Ashland Locke (no actor known to be cast for this role) will soon see Kyle as his enemy and with that Summer will become an additional target of reprisal.

Kyle became animated when relaying his growing fears to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), who he chose to confide in. That dialogue in Jabot’s main conference room telegraphed what’s soon to come on Y&R.

Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) was involved with Kyle a number of years ago. That took place when the character Lachlan Buchanan (Kyle) once played was written off-screen. The character was recast in the form of Mealor, but no information about Tara was known until recently.

Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) slammed his frenemy cousin when intentionally returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin. Kyle was stunned to learn that his former significant other, Tara, had a child, Harrison Locke (no actor known to be cast for this role), and that Theo claimed he was Kyle’s son.

Time will tell how Kyle’s demand for a paternity test plays out. But any assumed answer would simply be a guess.

Leiner’s debut on Y&R happens this week. Tara was provoked into making the trip from New York after Kyle initiated contacted with her by phone. A terse reply text advised him to avoid future contact.

So, Tara’s appearance indicates that she wants to block Kyle from disrupting the life she’s established. It’s possible that Tara already had a paternity test conducted and has ruled out Ashland as Harrison’s father.

It would seem unlikely that Tara also had a paternity test conducted using Kyle’s genetic material. But this is soap, so anything could be written as real.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke’s Family Protection Efforts

Whether Kyle proves to be Harrison’s father or not, Ashland has been teed up as Y&R’s next side character villain. Developing plot implies that he’ll seek vengeance against Kyle and those attached to him when he learns that Tara was involved with the character Mealor now plays.

Kyle’s recent tell to Mariah indicates that Ashland will follow his personality pattern. He’ll come after Kyle, the Abbott’s, Jabot, and Summer. That means Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will respond, with his recent acquisition of Locke’s media business becoming more clear to the audience in retrospect.
