The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) wasn’t moved when overhearing her parent’s concerns. She took their comments about her involvement with a disruptive friend and intent to send her to a therapist as an offense.
Faith has fallen into a trap that other young residents of Genoa City, Wisconsin, have in the past. She’s chosen to believe that a perceived friendship is a battle against parental authority. Her deceased sister, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes), paid with her life when taking a similarly misguided and reckless stance.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – History Repeats On Y&R?
It seems highly unlikely that Y&R is writing the Faith character out of the show. No tragic consequence is being projected in this feature, as that would not be believable.
Instead, the writing staff appears to be playing off Cassie’s troubles, that took place more than fifteen years ago. One major difference in this instance is that Cassie’s infatuation with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is contrasted against Faith’s desire to bond with a friend as a way to protect herself from intimidation efforts some in her peer group continue to pursue.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Choosing Friends Wisely Is Important
Jordan (the last name of this character isn’t known, as played by Madison Thompson) is not a friend to Faith. An increasing number of adults who care about Faith have identified that reality, which is potentially encouraging.
Faith is involved the commonly tagged toxic relationship. She feels uneasy around Jordan because that young person wants to control Faith, not improve her life. That’s not friendship, but manipulation.
Lind’s character, in learning about her parent’s concerns, has told Jordan that she won’t back off their bond. Rather, she wants to cloak what they’re doing, including drinking alcohol, far more closely.
Kudos is fully offered to both young actors for the strong performances they are offering. They are making this storyline very compelling.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Shick Must Work Together
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) has taken a stand with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). She’s told him that he must be fully open with any news, or speculation he has about Faith and Jordan. That is a solid move on Sharon’s part, as it should keep Shick united in their efforts to protect their daughter from an increasingly dangerous influence.
There surely will be a consequence if Sharon is able to prevent a crash, which will likely happen if Faith continues behaving in an unhealthy manner. But Faith’s anger toward one, or both of her parents should be a manageable response to needed discipline in this form of tough love.
