Days of Our Lives Star Jen Lilley Shares Exciting Adoption Announcement

Congratulations are in order for former Days of Our Lives star Jen Lilley, as she and her husband Jason Wayne have formally adopted their son Jeffrey! The couple also share a daughter, Julie, and Jeffrey’s half-brother, Kayden. Here’s what she has to say.

“Christmas came early this year, and I got the world’s BEST present under my tree,” Lilley enthused on Instagram. “Words cannot express how much I love this little one. Biologically, he’s Kayden’s half brother, but as Jason said so beautifully, ‘Today, we made them full brothers.’ I have loved this little one since his momma’s first sonogram.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Jen’s fans and followers to comment on the great news! Many offered their congratulations by saying, “This is great. You are such a wonderful mother and an even greater person, both inside and out. You have so much love for your family and it shows,” along with, “Oh wow, congratulations! This child has truly been blessed with loving and caring parents. Welcome to your forever home Jeffrey!”

Another fan wrote, “I am standing here with goosebumps after seeing this picture and reading your post. I have followed your road to adoption with these little boy’s and my heart could burst! What a blessing you and your husband are! I wish you and your family more joy and happiness then one could dream of. What a gift!! And our gift will be watching you in your newest Hallmark Christmas movie! A win win for us all!!!”

And while there’s no doubt that Jen has her hands full with her new addition and her family at home, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if she will be returning to Days of Our Lives anytime soon. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in an interview, the actress said, “I think about it all the time. Being on a soap is like being with family, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. I really miss the cast and acting opposite Eric Martsolf [Brady]. I trust him as an actress. It was so easy for me when I returned for 12 weeks [in 2018] to have a performance that I was proud of, because I had amazing co-stars. I mean, Kassie DePaiva [ex-Eve] and Eric Martsolf? Could you ask for anything more? And then to have wonderful scenes with John Aniston [Victor]? I miss the cast and the crew and the extravagant storylines.”
