Angelina Jolie’s Children Helped Design her Veil & Wedding Dress
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had the perfect wedding planners for their intimate Aug. 23 ceremony held at the chapel of Château Miraval, their estate in the French village of Correns.
The personal artworks of Jolie and Pitt’s children – Maddox, Shiloh, Zahara, Pax, Vivienne, and Knox was represented on her wedding veil. Luigi Massi, the master tailor at Atelier Versace’s sewed dozens of designs from her children’s drawings into the dress and veil.
“Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” says Jolie. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”
Jolie and Pitt wanted their children to play an important role in their wedding.
“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” the couple told People. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
Maddox and Pax walked their mom down the aisle while flower girls Zahara and Vivienne tossed petals gathered from the garden. Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. The kids also helped write their parents’ vows and Pax baked the cake!
