Just in Time For Back to School: Improving Hand Hygiene With Purell
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Purell with the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.
Are you taking the the challenge? Earlier in the month, my family made the commitment to improve our hand hygiene habits by using Purell Advanced hand sanitizer 3 times a day for 30 days.
Using Purell Advanced hand sanitizer came particularly in handy during our vacation at a lakeside cottage in Lake George the last two week . From playing in the sand to amusements parks you can expect germs to be waiting to ruin the fun! Purell’s Advanced Jelly wrap was really a life safer on our vacation. It easily fit into my purse and clipped onto items, so it was perfect to carry around the beach. It also came in handy at restaurants where tables and menus are hotspots for germs.
Purell’s 30 Day Challenge has really helped me be more aware of germy situations which is extremely important as a parent. I’m also happy to be improving our hand hygiene just before the start of her new preschool year. My daughter tends to pick up viruses easy, so hopefully better hygiene habits will help reduce the chances of us transferring germs from school and back.
Do you promote healthy hand hygiene with your children? If not, back to school is a perfect time to get started! Here are some great hand hygiene tips for children:
Recess/Gym Class: Germs love gym class and recess where children spend much of there time during the school year. Be sure to to equip your child’s gym bag and locker with a Purell Advanced JELLY WRAP so ensure a healthy break from the classroom, but not hand hygiene.
On the Field: Keep Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer on the sidelines for the players and their parents. One quick squirt after the game or match can make all the difference. You can also keep Purell Sanitizing Wipes in your bag to wipe away any dirt that accumulated during the game!
School Bus: Talk about germs! Make fighting germs cool by sprucing up your child’s key chain or backpack with a colorful PURELL® Advanced JELLY WRAP.
Play Dates: With new friends come new germs! Always remind your child to sanitize their hands after playing and before eating whether at or a friend’s house. Keep PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer in plain sight so they don’t forget, or send some along with your child.
Lastly, don’t forget to practice good hand hygiene habits yourself! Attach a PURELL Advanced Jelly Wrap to a messenger bag, purse or briefcase before heading out the door for work.

I keep hand sanitizer everywhe. Desk, car, purse…..I even give it as stocking stuffers.
I love Purell, and carry it EVERYWHERE!
Hand hygiene is very important in our house. We live in the city and take the bus and subway. As soon as we walk in the house we all go into the wash room and wash our hands. I always have some Purell in my purse!
We carry Purrell everywhere we go. I love it when we are hiking and stop to have lunch, by the time we stop it is hard to tell where our hands have been!
My kids always have sanitizer with them, but I know too much is bad, so we don’t use it as much as we used to.
Hand hygiene is so important. I wish more people were conscious of it.
Germs are EVERYWHERE!! And they can give you a lot more than a cold or the flu. I always carry wipes or a hand sanitizer with me in our car. I also keep some in my purse.
I always have Purell with me. I need to bring along the wipes though. Those sound super handy.
I always carry hand sanitizer with me where ever we go.I have not seen this brand here.
This reminds me that I need to get some Purell for my girls back to school bags! I love having this when water is not an option.
It’s really amazing how simple good hand hygiene can go such a long way to preventing colds and the flu. That is one thing my son is really big on too.
I ALWAYS carry hand sanitizer with me – especially with a 3-year-old boy. He gets into so much stuff that I’m glad I always have some handy.
I’m a HUGE proponent and user of hand sanitizer LOL Especially after being around large groups of people! Although washing hands is always best, hand sanitizer is a great backup!
Our kid’s classrooms always ask for purell to be donated to help with sanitation and keeping germs from spreading.
My son has always had teachers who were huge lovers of Purell. He learned young to keep hands clean.
My kiddo loves hand sanitizer. We picked up a cute Purrell bottle withthe thing toclip it on his back pack at the dollar tree.
I swear that I just donated about 1/2 a gallon of Purell to my daughter’s classroom. I am really not exaggerating!

Because I have an autoimmune disease I have to be very careful to keep me healthy. I use this stuff constantly! Probably way more than 3 times a day but it works!
I hate using hand sanitizer. There’s probably a better kind I should try but the one we use makes my hands feel ooky, but it is important to use.
I always have hand sanitizer in my car! It is a MUST HAVE!
I like to keep hand sanitizer on me in case I am not near a sink. I use it often at shopping malls as I hate touching the escalator railing.
This is so important. My son has conjuntivitis right now so I am using the purell like crazy trying to keep from getting it myself!
Purell is a must have in our house! We use it often.
I’ve taught my 5 year old to use Purell often. I tell her if she has to think about the last time she sanitized, it’s been too long….
I’m a teacher and a mom so I always have Purell with me wherever I go. It’s important to me to try to keep those germs at bay.

I have this with me at all times. I can’t give to my toddler because he would bathe in it if he could. I worry about him putting it in his mouth, LOL
