Dealing With Toddler Stains With the Help of Resolve Tip Exchange
Stains are a constant enemy in my house. When I put something on my daughter, Ava to wear it’s not a question if she will stain the outfit, but when!
Her stains have evolved over time. As a baby, sometimes she would have the most ‘ridicolous’ blow-outs. Every parent knows what I mean! Not only would her onsie and pants be completely covered, but her whole body! Blowout stains are the worst. I mean how can you really get ‘that’ completely out? I can’t tell you how many outfits she runined.
As a toddler, stains haven’t gotten any better. Ava will not wear a bib, so every outfit she wears is almost a gauranteed stain problem. The worst food stains are from her favorite meal, daddy’s homemade bolognese pasta. She and half her clothing devours the rich red tomato and meat sauce.
My best tip when it comes to stain removing is to immediately take preventative stain measures when a piece of clothing comes in contact with food or anything else that can possibly stain. The stain must be wet with water. Even if you are out because the longer you wait the harder it will be to get the stain out. This is the only way to get out the nasty pasta stains from Ava’s clothing too.
I recently used the Resolve Oxi-Action In-Wash Stain Removal Powder to pretreat my daughter’s food stain. It was great addition to my tip of applying warm water immediately to a stain. I took a little bit of the powder and mixed it with warm water to create a paste and then applied it to the stain. Plus, Resolve has developed a clever scoop with nobbles on the bottom so you can work it right into the stain. Obviously, much better than using my fingers!
I’m always open to hearing new tips other parents have to remove stains from their children’s clothing, so I was excited to hear about Resolve®’s new site – called Resolve® Tip Exchange. By sharing your own stain removing tips on the new site, you’ll entered for a chance to win one of 12 weekly prizes of $250 and the grand prize of $5000!

Great tips. I actually have to destain my son’s uniform shirts before he goes back to school in a few weeks so these definitely will come in handy.
I know what you are talking about! Babies and kids stain a lot of clothes. I use sun to get those stains out. Works every single time and it’s cheap too 😀
I like htis review. I’m an adult, but still get my clothes stained a lot of the time.
I need this help for myself – I need a bib!
I definitely need to try this. I have had to throw away so many clothes because I couldn’t get stains out of them.
I don’t think we have this in our country, but I’ll check it out as it seems really cool for these kinds of stains (and I imagine also for other types).
I usually use Shout or Spray ‘n’ Wash to handle tough stains – even in the carpet 🙂 This looks like it works really well, too.
I love using that-It really does work!
I’m also an advocate for the Shout products for some of the stains that my younger children get on their clothes.
Fab tips I have to admit I’m still awful at staining things now 🙂 X
All great tips…. It is usually me that stain my clothing. Just last night I got blackberry jelly on my pants… I am such a food dropper.
I have got to try this! I didn’t even know that Resolve had a stain remover for clothing until recently. I always use the carpet stain remover they have I love it. I am sure I will love this product as well.
Stains are a HUGE part of being mom huh? LOL I feel like I’m going to need all new furniture in about 4 years!
I still get stains on my clothing and so do the kids! We need to try this for sure.
My son is pretty messy as well. I am always looking for a good stain fighter.

I’m terrible and getting stains off of my kids clothes. I might try this.
I am a pro at staining and shrinking clothing!
I usually take things to the dry cleaners if I can’t get the stain out.
Any tips to get out stains are always welcome. There have been many times I have just had to get rid of clothes because the stains won’t come out.
Thanks for the info on the site. I will head over there and check it out because I always am interested in what others do to get stains out.
I love Resolve. I have a husband and 4 kids…I’m ALWAYS in need of stain removers! lol
I have gotten to the point where if my kids stain clothes, they turn into play clothes. I used to get so upset, but now I just go with the flow.
I had no idea resolve made a stain remover. My mom swore by oxiclean so it’s what I have used since well forever ago when it first came out. Resolved looks like it works just as well if not better I think I will give it a try one of these days after I run out of oxi clean.
I have a toddler so there are always stains to be cleaned up in my house. WIll take a look at resolve. Didn’t even know that they had a stain remover. Thanks for the review.
brilliant tips with 5 kids there is always something getting spilt/stained :S
I used spray stain remover, Shout! I have not try Resolve but I will check this out in our local store and give a try.
I will definitely check out Resolve stain remover. I, too am a Shout user.
We have some icky stains in our living room carpet, and I think trying this resolve would be great for us.
Thanks for the review. I’m going to check this out – looks like a great product!
great tips and I did not know Resolve came in a tub container like that!
Excellent tips. I am going to try this on a pair of my daughter’s white pants that I LOVE, but will never come clean!
I like the idea of a website where people can go to get ideas on how to remove stains. With four children, I am sure I will be a frequene visitor.
It depends on what actually caused the stain. Sometimes, I use home remedies like lemon juice, club soda …. but sometimes, when I need the “big guns” I mix a lil oxy-clean and (color safe) bleach! It foams and burns stains right out. =D
