Cameron Diaz is not “feeling empty” without kids

Cameron Diaz is not "feeling empty" without kids 0501Cameron Diaz had to know the questions would come. She’s starring in a movie called What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She had to know baby questions would be thrown at her left and right. But the 39-year-old is more than candid as she discusses her hopes for having children and her realizations that she might not.

“I’m not sitting there going, ‘Oh, my God, when am I going to get married? When am I going to have a baby?’” the actress tells the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK“I would be remiss if I was living my life wishing I had something other than what I have. If, one day, I am blessed with the experience of having a child, I would be overjoyed, but I am not sitting here feeling empty because I haven’t yet, or that I may not.”

These words come at the heels of a recent interview she gave to InStyle magazine.

“Society definitely puts pressure on women to make them think their lives should go a certain way. I’ve never said I don’t want children—I just haven’t had children yet. I don’t know what’s going to happen in my life! I could end up adopting children. I could end up with a partner who already has children. Who knows? I’m not trying to fit into anyone’s box about how I should be. I just fit in my own box.”

I think she’s handling the questions so well. She isn’t feeding us lines but rather telling the truth. She’s not ruling out kids; she’s just not there yet. Perhaps she’s waiting for the right guy. After ending her relationship to baseball star, Alex Rodriguez, Cameron’s back on the market again. Who knows? Maybe her perfect match is just around the corner or do you think Cameron likes her independence too much to settle?

Brooklyn Decker wants to adopt a child with special needs

Brooklyn Decker wants to adopt a child with special needs 0428Brooklyn Decker’s not pregnant yet but the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model is definitely in planning mode. Decker told Canada’s Flare magazine that, in addition to having biological children with husband, Andy Roddick, she would like to adopt a child with special needs. And it seems Roddick isn’t the only star athlete in the family. Decker has an aunt who happens to be a Special Olympics athlete.

“I want to adopt a baby with an intellectual disability one day….I mean, that’s in the distant future, but that’s always been a goal of mine.”

You can forgive the 25-year-old for not being quite ready yet. She’s a constant fixture at Roddick’s tennis matches and has two big movies coming out this summer, What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Battleship.

How long do you give the couple? I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re hearing the pitter patter of little feet by next summer for sure!

What To Expect When You’re Expecting – The Movie

What To Expect When You're Expecting - The Movie

There is one movie that we here at Celeb Baby Laundry are really looking forward to. It’s called What To Expect When You’re Expecting. It’s based on the popular book by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel. It opens on May 11 but the first posters have been released and they’re lots of fun. It’s great seeing Cameron Diaz with a baby bump! They also features some quotes from the movie like ‘If I knew I’d have a rack like this, I would’ve gotten knocked up years ago.’

The movie follows the stories of five women dealing with the impending arrival of their little bundles of joy. So there’s someone we can all identify with in one way or another. The five women are played by Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks. Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison are also in the film. It’s a pretty impressive cast!

Each character has a different story to tell. Cameron is Jules – a gym junkie/fitness guru, Brooklyn is the blonde trophy wife and expecting an heir, Anna is Rosie a food truck chef while Elizabeth is a baby incubator and writer. J-Lo plays Holly who’s not expecting herself , but preparing to adopt a baby from abroad after having trouble conceiving . Just like in real life, each woman has a unique way of coping (or not coping) with the changes they’re going through.

So I reckon this is one movie all Moms-to-be, Moms, Dads-to-be and Dads will want to see when it hits the big screen.
