Frugal Flowerpot Snowman Craft For Kids
Do you love all things snowmen? If so you won’t want to pass up this Frugal Flowerpot Snowman craft. This flowerpot snowman craft is a great way to put an old flowerpot to use, while decorating your home for the winter season at the same time. Take a peek below at how you can get started crafting your own. This is a fun and frugal winter craft you won’t wait to wait on!
Here is what you will need:
Flowerpot in your choice of size
White craft paint
Googly eyes
Pair of craft pom poms
Pipe cleaner in choice of color
Assorted buttons
Black marker
Orange craft foam
Craft glue
Scissors
Directions:
1. Begin by applying two coats of white craft paint to the flowerpot. Ours was already white so we could skip this step. If yours isn’t, now is the time to add your paint.
2. Once the paint is dry, begin by assembling the face of the snowman. Begin by turning your pot upside down. Then press two googly eyes to the front of the pot. Hold in place until dry. Cut a triangle from some orange craft foam. Press it to the center of the face for a nose. Finish the face by creating dots with a black marker for the coal mouth.
3. Add some button embellishments at the bottom of the pot. We just added some glue and pressed them at the base.
4. Create earmuffs to keep the snowman toasty. Simply glue a craft pom pom to the side of each pot. Cut a length of pipe cleaner and bend it over the top of the pot. Glue each end into the pom pom.
Your flower pot snowman is now complete. He makes the perfect kid’s craft, or is even fun for adults to try. When done, you will have the perfect knick knack to join your holiday décor.
