Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Face Damning Cash Flow Accusations

Commentator claims Harry and Meghan are "incredibly bad with money," letting massive media deals slip away.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are allegedly running short of cash. That is the central claim from a royal commentator this week. He says the couple have let “wonderful opportunities slip through their fingers” time and again. In his opinion, they are not victims of circumstance. They are simply “incredibly bad with money.”

Neil Sean made these remarks on hisBy Royal Appointment vlog on YouTube on Monday night. He analysed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s business ventures one by one. His verdict is damning. He believes they have blown their one shot at true financial independence.

The Vanity Fair Missed Opportunity

Sean starts with the Vanity Fair cover from 2017. He says magazines like that do not pay fees. But they do “pay expenses.” And celebrities can negotiate those expenses heavily. Stylists. Hotels. Makeup artists.

All of it can add up quickly. Sean claims Meghan Markle could have secured a fortune. Instead, she missed the opportunity. He says she was “cocka hoop” at the time and simply didn’t understand her own value.

He also claims she tried to “pull the cover” at the 11th hour because the palace was unhappy. But apparently she carried on anyway.

The Oprah Interview That Went Wrong

Then there is the Oprah Winfrey deal. Sean calls it “one of the worst in television history.” He points out that the interview has been “virtually removed from the internet.”

Oprah herself never speaks about it. That is unusual for her. Sean, suggests the deal went badly. He says they signed away most of the lucrative elements. They only get one roll of the dice, he argues. And they blew it.

Netflix, Spotify, and the Failed Empire

The Netflix deal comes next. Sean insists the reported “$100 million” figure is a myth. He says the true value was closer to $10 million. The payment was based on delivery of programmes.

He describes their output as a disaster. Heart of Invictus. Polo. Meghan’s cookery show. None of it worked. He claims Meghan Markle didn’t even want to film in her own house.

That pushed up costs. Location fees. Freelancers. NDAs. All of that ate into their earnings.

Spotify was no better. Sean says they did not pay $20 million. They paid a lower amount but never got their return. He claims Meghan had no real ideas. She is a former actress who was handed a few lines to learn. She “never created anything,” in his view.

He points out that anybody could set up a blog like The Tig. It doesn’t make you a businesswoman.

Meghan’s Character Under Scrutiny

Sean also criticises Meghan’s character throughout. He describes her as “a very, very clever manipulator.” He says she cultivated Harry from the beginning. She used expensive clothes and a private members’ club to impress him.

She portrayed herself as a self-made woman. But according to Sean, a lot of doors opened thanks to her father’s connections. Now he is “wiped away, never to be mentioned again.”

Harry’s Naivety and Failed Speeches

Prince Harry does not escape criticism. Sean says he is “not a businessman.” He had everything done for him as a royal. He had “no idea” what things were worth.

Sean claims Prince Harry wanted out of royal life anyway. He liked the perks but not the duties. Meghan Markle just gave him the perfect excuse.

The recent visit to King Charles at Highgrove was telling. Sean describes it as “tail between legs.” They went hoping for a reconciliation. But it didn’t work out, per the commentator.

He says their big attempts at fake royal tours and brand deals have all flopped. Even the Invictus speech bombed in his opinion. Harry made a joke about his hair loss. It didn’t land.

Wrapping It Up

It isn’t clear how Neil Sean knows this, but he did claim that the Sussex couple are not poor. However, he did note that he believes their biggest mistake was believing they could do it themselves. And now the deals that could have set them up for life have gone.

Whether their chances at success have all gone or not can’t be predicted. But per Sean, everyone is asking the same question. “Where did the money go?”
