Disney Is Currently Working On Two “Frozen” Movies
Joy! It’s not yet time for us to let go of Arendelle and its magical and musical world of wonder. This means we’re likely to see Elsa, Anna, our very own lovable snowman Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven for two more rounds.
Thanks to the massive success of its two films that’s for sure. So, do you want to build a snowman or are you more of the type that follows an enchanting voice into the unknown?
Disney’s Bob Iger Confirms the Coming of “Frozen” 3 and 4
It’s been 9 months since we learned that “Frozen 3” is in the works at Disney, and already we’re getting even more good news. Instead of just “Frozen 3,” Disney will reportedly be releasing back to back installments of the popular musical franchise.
Speaking to Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan at the Hong Kong Disneyland during the park’s grand opening of “World of Frozen” area, Iger proclaimed, “I’ll give you a little surprise there Michael: Frozen 3 is in the works and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works, too.”
He, however, noted that he can’t give away that much details at present.
The 72-year-old also revealed that they have not opted to replace the creative brain behind the first two successful “Frozen” movies, as he adds, “But Jenn Lee, who created Frozen — the original Frozen and Frozen 2 — is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.”
For lovers of all things fun and Disney, it’ll also be a welcome news to hear that “Zootopia 2” and “Toy Story 5” have also entered production.
“Frozen’s” Cast Are Eager To Return For Another Movie
It helps that the cast of “Frozen” are enthusiastically onboard for another musical adventure. And if it snows, the better.
In June 2022, Kristen Bell, who voiced Anna in the movie, joked to Jimmy Fallon, “I would like to officially announce, with zero authority, Frozen 3.”
When fans erupted with joyful cheers, she quickly clarified, “Please bear in mind I did say ‘zero authority,’ ’cause I can’t [actually announce it]. I can’t do that — I’m not in charge. But there could be something in the works and something maybe happening, maybe.”
She then confirmed that she and her cast mates are all onboard for another sequel. “I’ll keep it mysterious,” she added. “But I know Idina [Menzel] recently said she would do it, and I feel like if we’re all in, what are we waiting for?”
Even the franchise’s songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and husband Robert Lopez are ready to write new music for the upcoming movie. All I can say is that the stars are aligned for another beautiful trip to Arendelle.
