Devon has been stubborn. Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) criticisms, about his cousin, Devon, being overly attached to memories of his late adopted father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), have borne out.
Jill had every right to pursue the stock offer plan. It may work out or not. Devon also has a right to object, but he does not want to admit being part of a team involves sacrifice.
Legal relief is needed because Devon has not moved off his stance. It will be interesting to see how Amanda’s involvement, assuming it happens through negotiations or court action, affects Devon because of their personal connection.
Lily Winters Attempted To Make Peace
Lily pushed the stock offering as far as she could. Then, Khalil’s character did something neither Jill nor Devon was willing to do. She tried to find a compromise point.
The offer to buy Devon out may provide a legal channel that allows Jill and Lily to claim flexibility, especially considering the over-market value Devon was set to receive for his portion of the company. Devon’s challenge will be to prove he is legally entitled to buy back his company.
Amanda is a smart lawyer. She is also the woman Devon betrayed when he became involved with Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Whether Amanda can effectively compartmentalize Devon’s actions while representing her clients will be seen on Y&R.
