The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Billy’s Second Chance, Will He Blow It?
The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will get a second chance with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). The big question is, will Billy blow it, or will he make it?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Let’s Give Each Other Space
Billy and Lily had recently agreed to give each other some space, although Billy wasn’t wild about it. Lily questioned if they had enough in common to hold them together since they weren’t working together anymore. They had ceased functioning as a real couple, and Billy has been trying to figure out his next move.
Billy went to talk about his quandary with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) which probably wasn’t the smartest move in the world, since Lily felt threatened by their friendship. After their talk, however, Billy decides he wants to save his relationship with Lily and arranges to meet her at the Glam Club.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Billy Abbott Wants To Reconnect
When Billy and Lily meet, he tells her he doesn’t want to lose her, but rather wants to reconnect in a deep, emotional way like they used to. He tells her that he wants to get back what they once had and Lily is surprised since he seemed to be ignoring all the problems they were having. Billy tells Lily he will gladly go to couples counseling as she had previously suggested, but that it will take two and she needs to do her part as well. She is pleasantly surprised and indicates that they owe it to themselves to keep trying, after he apologizes for letting her down, and wants to make things right. But Billy has made those kinds of promises before and hasn’t followed through the way that Lily might have expected him to.
Try, Try Again
Lily might have her doubts that Billy will follow through, although he certainly seems to be up for the challenge. Couples counseling does indeed depend on both partners putting in the hard work in order for it to succeed. One of the most important parts to ensure success is for the partners to see each other’s points of view in areas that they disagree upon.
If in spite of being willing to try, try again if they don’t succeed at first, if each of them doesn’t accept each other in certain areas, it won’t work. Counseling isn’t to get the counselor to change the other person, it’s to change oneself to adapt to the other’s differences and strike a happy medium.
