Carter was lonely. He saw Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and thought he fell deeply in love. But she was more interested in Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz), which eventually caused the engagement between Carter and Zoe to crash.

The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Grace Buckingham Weighs In
Grace just arrived in Los Angeles, California. She is naturally protective of her daughters and is therefore not fond of Carter.
Zende looks to be what he is. A single, available guy who is in love with Paris. Grace is naturally fond of Zende. Her daughter can build a life with him.
Fans recall that Grace’s husband, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), was unstable. His gambling addiction led to imprisonment, which continues to deeply impact Zoe and Paris.
In contrast to Reese, Zende is great. While Carter is not comparable to Reese, Grace senses a similar disloyal streak.
Paris Buckingham Has Not Wronged Either Man
Paris has enjoyed dating Zende. But she does not want to settle down with him at this point in her early-twenties life. That makes sense and is a wise choice.
