That could be a reason why the current storyline is being presented. Viewers can imagine a scenario where a woman from Carter’s past returns and reveals that she had his baby but never told him. That would create severe stress for Daphne, who might feel inadequate.

Speaking of the previously mentioned alternatives, a far less controversial option would have this couple pursue adoption. Other, more complicated pregnancy tales have been pursued in the past.

Having Carter and Daphne adopt a child, potentially one that isn’t a baby, would instantly add a new character and obviously impact their lives dramatically.

Daphne Walton Needs Complete Support

Carter will be heartbroken when learning about Daphne’s diagnosis. They may explore a second opinion or seek what would be a fantastically soapy resolution.

But if the improbable isn’t explored, then viewers anticipate two solid actors delivering meaningful scenes to the audience.

Tissues will be needed, as they were when Daphne broke down, and Steffy comforted her after Li delivered the heart-wrenching news.

Here’s hoping that Carter and Daphne become an even stronger couple through this situation.

Instead of it being a crisis, the fans would surely love for it to be the start of something unexpectedly wonderful.
