It looks like the good days might truly be over. Clearly, we are talking about General Hospital star Steve Burton, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap.

That’s because there’s heavy speculation suggesting that he might be losing his appeal with his soap opera fans.
The actor has not been seen on the canvas for several long months now and if it weren’t for the fact that he’s such a popular household name, no one would even notice or care at this point.
In other words, it seems like Port Charles is doing quite well without him which has begged a lot of fans to wonder: are Jason Morgan’s days on General Hospital over? Does it really matter if he even comes back at this point?
As many of our fans are already aware of, Steve took a leave of absence from General Hospital earlier this year to focus on his family.
And while the actor did state that he would be coming back some time during the summer, he didn’t specify as to when he would be coming back at all.
This has made a lot of fans wonder if Steve is holding out in the hopes that he can negotiate his contract for better pay or if something else might be going on behind the scenes.
What’s Next For Steve Burton?
For Steve Burton, this certainly makes sense. After all, he’s been spending a lot of his time away from General Hospital trying to build his lifestyle and healthy living business alongside his wife, Michelle Lundstrom.
Now, whether or not Steve continues his role on General Hospital or if he’s trying to hold out for more money remains to be seen but for now it’s safe to say that viewers of the show are definitely moving on, with or without Steve in front of the cameras.
So far Steve Burton himself has not made any comments about the criticism he’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come!
