The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane’s Selflessness Makes All The Difference – Lily’s Heart Reopened

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) loves Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and it appears that his feelings are again being reciprocated.
This breakthrough occurred due to soapy circumstances, as Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) won’t be dying anytime soon.
What were the odds that Cane, of all people, would be a bone marrow match for the man who is considered Lily’s uncle but is actually her biological father?
Well, in daytime, those odds are one-to-one, meaning they are certain. During this Triple Crown racing season, Malcolm hit the superfecta. He is expected to live after receiving Cane’s selfless donation to him.
Phyllis Summers Strikes Again
Cane just learned that he was a match for Malcolm and then was soon arrested by Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell). Pushing Cane’s doomed man persona beyond what even he thought was possible didn’t mean that his one-time father-in-law was in danger, though.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) isn’t a fan of Cane’s, but he was glad to ease his and Lily’s concerns when telling them that the bone marrow could be donated in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and then shipped to New York, where Malcolm is currently living.
Lily will be traveling to be with Malcolm and remains uneasy because of the unusual nature of not having the donor, Cane, in the same hospital as her real father. Although devoted viewers know that she still considers the late Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) to be her dad and always will.
Cane Ashby’s Bond With His Father Makes Sense Now
Lily saw Cane as a conniver because that’s what he’s been in recent years. The debacle that she and numerous GC’s elite experienced last summer in the south of France reinforced Cane’s seemingly sketchy demeanor.

While he wasn’t a saint during his years in Wisconsin and did fake his death, Cane wasn’t seen as a bad guy. Lily fell in love with him, and they had twins, which obviously meant that her trust ran deep.
He was finally able to make Lily see why he created Arabesque and responded as he did when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) crushed the company.
The Moustache made Cane feel like he was losing his father all over again, and that is part of the impetus that drove him to help Malcolm. He didn’t want Lily to lose the other father in her life this time around.
Lily Winters Sees Her One-Time Husband’s Heart
Lily never stopped caring about Cane. She was just confused, and who wouldn’t be?
He left GC seven years ago in search of his father and revealed the double life he’d been leading last summer. Cane did so in a public way that embarrassed and angered her. Plus, three deaths occurred at his chateau, which included Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), whom Lily had grown close to romantically.
But it’s nearing a year, and a lot’s happened since then, with current events being fully positive for this one-time couple. It also feels like past tense referrals to Lily’s and Cane’s status won’t soon be needed.
