The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Will Nikki Forgive Victor Regardless Of Her Surgery Outcome?

The Young and The Restless: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) could be blind, even though her mass was successfully removed.

But there is an equally pressing problem, and his name, as always, is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victor didn’t hesitate after learning that the love of his life was in danger of losing her eyesight.

He contacted Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), who put him in touch with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox). Her referral to a supposedly top-ranked surgeon from New York proved fruitful.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) didn’t want to go against her mother’s wishes.

But Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) defied Nikki and told Victor the truth. That led to the Newman family patriarch’s involvement.

Claire Newman Serves As Go-Between

Claire didn’t have the benefit of being raised in a normal environment. Devoted fans recall that her father’s aunt, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), stole Claire at birth and replaced her with a deceased child.

Victoria and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) believed that Eve, the name they gave their daughter, had died. Then, with resilience, Claire came back to soapy life in recent years.

The ordeal Claire endured during her childhood years and eventual breakaway from Jordan created intense family loyalty.

She made the right choice in telling Victor about Nikki’s plight, with her grandmother agreeing just before her emergency surgery.

Colonel Douglas Austin Is Proud

If truth be told, and it is, Nikki is just as stubborn as the Moustache. No matter how vehemently Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) protests, the woman loves that man, vice versa, and that’s that.

This lovebird storyline dates back to the early 1980s. They’ve been together and were worse off when apart, with longtime fans recalling Victor retreating to his penthouse apartment, where he lived with his sidekick, Colonel Douglas Austin (Michael Evans), who was last seen on Y&R in 1995.

Douglas was needed to serve as Victor’s sounding board and confidant when he was separated from Nikki.

Viewers also know that Douglas first spotted Nikki at the club where she worked and introduced Victor to her.

Victor mentioned Douglas’ passing several years ago. Evans is fondly remembered for his work as a classic daytime sidekick.

Douglas knew that Victor and Nikki clashed hard but would eventually find their way back to each other, and was instrumental in brokering various reunions, with Claire serving in that role in these modern times.

The Colonel is surely proud of Erin’s efforts as he peers from his penthouse in the heavenly clouds.

Nikki Newman Needs To Turn Her Love Around

George Benson’s hit single, Turn Your Love Around, was released in the early 1980s, when Nikki and Victor were falling in love for the first time. After thousands of episodes, some things never seem to change.

It’s not that Nikki has fallen out of love with Victor. These two will love each other to the day they pass from this earth and join the Colonel, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), and every other long-gone resident of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Nikki was moved that Victor acted so quickly and secured a surgeon. But she’s not ready to forgive the petulance that caused him to force her to leave their rebuilt Ranch house.

Her love will turn around, and so will the restoration of her eyesight, with fans relishing another memorable storyline that highlights this show’s once and forever greatest couple of all time.
