Katie Bates’ Husband Travis Clark Publicly Confesses To Affair

Bringing Up Bates on UP TV revealed that Katie Bates and her family are very religious. But this week, when fans learned that her husband Travis Clark cheated on her, they felt a bit shocked. Read on for more details.
A Public Apology
For a start, some people felt that it wasn’t fair on Katie for Travis to announce publicly that he cheated on his wife. After all, she recently suffered from a miscarriage. Knowing that the whole world now knows she was cheated on seems a bit bad for many folks.
TMZ found the apology and shared it in an article on January 18. The post on social media was honest, in fact, brutally honest, some folks felt. He said, in part, “I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust.”

Obviously, he apologized to his wife. Presumably, also to the entire Bates family clan, saying that he felt bad for the “pain, humiliation, and betrayal.” The Bringing Up Bates alum also wanted her forgiveness. Probably, in a religion where forgiveness is something folks believe in, he will get it.
Silence From Katie
Notably though, at this time, there doesn’t seem to be anything publicly said by Katie. Maybe she’s too busy dealing with her miscarriage and their two kids, Hailey James and Harvey Gray.
Ironically, Travis worked in a Christian environment as a musician and a leader. Later, he went off to study nursing, apparently with the blessing of his wife.
Fans React
When the outlet shared their article on Instagram, many people weighed in with their thoughts.
One of them penned, “So basically he got caught and there were enough inner circle rumors that he needed to share it publicly. He’s only saying all this bc HE GOT CAUGHT. He didn’t care about his wife when he was…someone else.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- What a… She is a wonderful woman and a great wife and mom. I’m devastated for her. I hope she divorces him.
- Infidelity in Christianity is a serious offense.
- May the Lord hold their hearts and save this little family.
Skeptics Call Fake News
Meanwhile, some folks were so shocked by the news, that they believed it was fake. These days, almost anything can be fake, especially with the rise of AI. However, the post was there in the stories on Travis Clark’s Instagram.
