There’s been a new flurry of chatter on social media about Princess Catherine, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle. Read on to find out how it all allegedly ties in.
Charlotte Follows Meghan’s Trend?
According to Royal commentator Neil Sean on his Daily News Headlines vlog on Friday night, unnamed “sources” told him that Meghan Markle believes she “started a trend” of a warmer and more casual way for royals to meet the public.
So, allegedly, now she and her team believe that what Princess Charlotte recently did was thanks to Meghan. It came after Princess Catherine’s daughter allowed a member of the public to take a selfie with her. That happened after the annual Christmas carol concert, where Princess Charlotte had played a piano duet with her mom.
Meghan Started A Friendly Trend
Allegedly, Meghan thinks that Charlotte has “taken this on board.” What is he talking about? Well, you might recall that Meghan Markle seemed available to interact with royal family fans.
Images arrived of her penning messages on bananas while donating food bags to the needy. Additionally, she didn’t mind signing autographs. Well, that was a big no-no from Queen Elizabeth. After all, she had concerns with security issues.
A Loaded Claim
Obviously, the claim that Meghan feels she influenced young Princess Charlotte is rather loaded. It can’t be verified. But one thing is certain, whether you like Prince Harry’s wife or not, briefly she brought a refreshing appeal to royal family watchers back in the day.
Nevertheless, Sean reminded everyone that Charlotte’s sweet moment was actually a big security problem. He pointed out that a similar thing happened with Kate a while back and she was warned off. “That really shouldn’t have happened,” he said with regards to Charlotte’s selfie.
Security Is Vital
Expanding on that, Sean also mentioned an occasion when Prince Louis was gifted some chocolates. Of course, he “would not be allowed to have those chocolates until they’re tested,” for fear of poison or bugs. It sounds extreme, but it shows the reality of living a high-profile life.
Meghan, without question, did have a friendly approach. But, the security system in place was to prevent exactly that kind of spontaneity for very serious reasons.
Probably, it won’t be allowed to happen again. In fact, Princess Charlotte might have gotten a lecture about it. And, for the person who got the selfie, it might turn out to be “a true moment in royal history.”
