Robert Irwin DWTS Elimination Rumors Spark Fan Backlash
Robert Irwin is a popular competitor on Dancing with the Stars in Season 24. But, some critics slammed him on Tuesday night. Read on to find out why, and also see how the egg probably gets spread right across their faces right now.
A Perceived Elimination?
E! News took to Instagram on Tuesday and reported that a “Fan Favorite was eliminated” during the 20th Anniversary episode. Well, it’s a classic example as to why people really should read articles before commenting. Or, need to keep to the topic in the comments. Because right now, some folks might look a bit silly.
The reason they might feel a bit small is that someone slammed Robert Irwin. In fact, the E! News article itself noted that the person eliminated was Andy Richter. So, Robert and his partner Witney Carson are still in the running.
Egg On Faces?
In the comments section, some who saw the words “fan-favorite” seemed to assume it was Steve Irwin’s son who had been sent home. One of them opined, “I’m so sick of Robert using his dad’s death as a way to make people emotional and gain votes. Let it go already.. I lost my dad at 34 it sucks but stop already.”
Another sort of error came when someone else commented, “Bring back Tom and Samantha as hosts!!!” Actually, the elimination of Andy Richter came when Tom Bergeron sat on the panel as a guest appearance.
Who Went Through?
On Dancing with the Stars, “Alix Earle, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, Whitney Leavitt and Robert Irwin remain for the semi-finals on Nov. 18.”

Robert Irwin performed a very nice foxtrot on the Anniversary episode. In the comment section, many people praised him and how well he’s progressed. One follower opined:
FINALLY the score he s DESERVES… And Witney’s always choreographs the best. I really enjoyed the Foxtrot to “Footprints in the Sand” because it’s the same song Bindi Irwin danced to in the finals. Robert’s have turned into an incredibly, beautiful dancer…
