The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt Cohen Gets “The Boot” Before Y&R Debut
The Young and The Restless spoilers reveal that Matt Cohen made his debut on Y&R on Thursday, October 16.
However, before this, he got some good news and “the boot”, what has been going on with Matt while working up to his role as Detective Burrows who is investigating Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams accident?

Cohen had a recent surgery and posted about it on his Instagram page. “Good morning, what’s up, hey, how are you doing?” he asked before telling fans, “Guess what? I’m excited, going to share the news with the world. I got the cast off my leg.” the actor then looked at a calendar, the continued, “It’s 28 days since I had surgery on my Achilles tendon on my right foot. Now it’s off and I’m walking.”
This doesn’t mean that he has been cleared to walk because Cohen admitted that the doctor pointed out that he shouldn’t be walking. “We’re walking in the walking boot, we’re doing OK. If you want to come along the journey, fitness, health, all the things nonstop all the time, check out my subscriptions. If you’re into that sort of thing.”
The actor said he is “having a good time, recovering somehow, someway” and continued, “We’re failing many days and we’re sharing all the things in between so whatever it is or it isn’t, we’re having fun, we’re getting healthy.” Matt then invited followers to watch him “limp through a workout or a cold plunge” with hopes of inspiring them to do something super healthy Cohen added, “No [bleep] promises.”

Griffin is very well known by soap fans as Dr. Griffin Monroe, former lover of Kiki Jerome (ex-Hayley Erin) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). Kiki was later killed by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and discovered on the Haunted Starr.
Ava was jealous of her daughter and Ryan was impersonating his brother, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) at the time.
Griffin left town after Kiki’s death never to be seen again. Other roles include, best known for playing young John Winchester and the archangel Michael in Supernatural, Aiden Dennison on the teen drama series South of Nowhere, and as Griffin Munro on the ABC daytime soap General Hospital.
In 2019, he became a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, but was laid off in 2023.
Now Cohen has joined Y&R and will play a huge part in Noah’s case now that he is on a ventilator in the hospital.
After Burrow’s job is finished in LA, could he possibly move to Genoa City and remain and important part of the show?
