The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Holden Is Claire’s Detour Or Destiny? – Kyle Can’t Give Up
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is hurt. But the comments she’s repeatedly made about being inexperienced when it comes to romance deeply concern Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Kyle believes, understandably, that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is an operator. He thinks Owens’ character is taking advantage of Claire’s vulnerability and wants to exploit it.
Holden does care about Claire. But he’s not been honest about his relationship with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) or seemingly shady dealings when both of them weren’t yet part of the Genoa City, Wisconsin, landscape.
What Happens In Los Angeles, California?
It feels like viewers are about to be provided with more information than they have to date. Claire, Holden, Kyle, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) are all in LA.
Splitting the settings between Wisconsin and California means that the West Coast addition is purposeful. As for Claire, Holden, and Kyle, they seem likely to be involved in an uneasy triangle that won’t include the protections that GC offers.
Kyle might learn that Claire has moved on from him far further than he’d hoped. Claire could play Kyle like Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) did Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) at his maze in France. Hopefully, that won’t mean Holden gets a knife in his back like his friend, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers).
Kyle Abbott Knows His Mistake Sparked The Break
Initially, Kyle was attracted to Audra. But he didn’t have deep feelings for her.
Audra was attracted to Kyle and felt a connection that she hadn’t felt with other men. She played that off because Mealor’s character talked openly about the transactional nature of their relationship during the period when they were being used at Glissade by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
It was only later that Kyle realized Audra wanted more from him, and he was already falling in love with Claire. Then, the games started, and Kyle made the mistake of engaging with Audra.
Eventually, he alienated the woman he’s come to love because he played an unseemly game with Audra during Cane’s manipulative event in France last summer. What happened between Kyle and Audra on that train car went too far for Claire. Her feelings about that event aren’t naive; they’re on target.
Claire Newman Wants To Clear Her Head
Holden is fun. The effusive compliments he’s offered feel good. His ability to listen to her concerns about Kyle and the grief she expressed about her father’s (Cole Howard, played by J. Eddie Peck) death created their bond.
So, a quick trip away from GC made sense. Joining Holden in LA can allow Claire to clear her head, or at least that was the plan.
Kyle trailing them won’t be well received. Fans are also wondering how long it will be until he and Holden have a physical confrontation.
