The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Change Of Course Is Too Late – Sally Has A Choice

The Young and The Restless: Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) realized he made the wrong decision.

His choice to try to outwit Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was misguided. But returning to the Abbott fold hasn’t gone as Billy hoped.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is appreciative of his brother recognizing that Cane is not someone to challenge or try to outwit. This billionaire version of the character Flynn now embodies is dangerous.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) cares deeply about Billy. But she’s come to realize that she can’t control him, which is leading her to a likely forced choice.

Chancellor Was The Carrot, And Billy Abbott Got The Stick

Cane sought Billy out initially. Under the guise of Aristotle Dumas, Cane made contact with Billy and requested his assistance in bringing Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) down.

That happened at a point in the plot when an exploding number of characters became aware of Aristotle and talked about him endlessly. Until real-world confirmation happened, viewers had no way of knowing that the character Daniel Goddard (the original Cane) once played was being recast and revamped.

Offering Billy a chance to regain Chancellor was something Cane knew would grab his interest. Cane was in touch with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) at the time and had inside knowledge of her falling out with Billy, and exploited that.

No one can blame Cane for recently cutting Billy out of the loop. But his reaction to Cane’s decision is also understandable.

Jack Abbott Trying To Get Ahead Of The Fastball

Jack sees the landscape and believes he can get ahead of what’s coming. His meeting with Victor at the Ranch was bold.

Jack’s idea is to present a united front in the face of what is an unprecedented threat. Longtime soap fans take Jack and Victor’s concern with a soapy grain of salt because there have been many threats against both families across the daytime decades.

However, it is fair to say that Cane’s creation of a weapon he intends to deploy represents a legitimate attack concern. Whether his so-called Artificial Intelligence tool can paralyze both legacy companies, take control, and go undetected is questionable.

As is true of the alarmists in Genoa City, Wisconsin, this use of AI, which was built by human, not machine, intelligence, plays into people’s fears. That’s Cane’s real weapon.

Sally Spectra’s Fear Is Completely Legitimate

Sally has been through the wringer, and that was before she was ever with Billy. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) treated her badly and eventually returned to his true love, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Billy was Sally’s rebound and vice versa. They are clear on how this relationship started. But Adam is in no way responsible for how Sally feels now.

She’s concerned for Billy’s state of mind. While she believes he’s serious about wanting to work with his family to bring Cane down, Sally remains bothered by Billy’s obsession with Victor and his grudge against Jill. Sally also doesn’t want to play Billy’s replacement mother from here on out.
