The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jill Helps Cane and Billy — Sally Says It’s Too Risky!
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is seen as a difference-maker. Although she no longer resides in Genoa City, Wisconsin, her blood and emotional ties to others remain strong.
Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) glance at Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) referenced Jill at the Ranch, signaled that the Moustache was on the same page. Victor told his wife that he felt Jill was key to dealing with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) appears to have downshifted. He calculated that the many gambles he was taking were going to cost him Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and threw his hand to the center of the table before that happened. Doing so allowed Billy not to lose it all, yet.
Cane Ashby Is Full Steam Ahead
Cane has revealed elements of his plan to take over GC to certain people. But the bits and pieces numerous people know haven’t allowed any of them to determine what the endgame or what success will resemble.
The former Aristotle Dumas is supremely confident. He’s rejected multiple offers dating back to the laborious gathering he held at his villa in France. Having billions of dollars and various other assets provides him with the ability to believe that he’ll win.
Victor’s unusual lack of full confidence about this particular foe provides this storyline with one of its unique elements. Another is that a former character was recast from Daniel Goddard (the original Cane) to Flynn and redeveloped into a business mogul.
Billy Abbott Open To Partnering With The Moustache?
Billy just decided to make peace with Jack. That happened because Cane removed him from the project and Sally threatened to end their relationship.
So, how will Billy respond if or when he learns that Jack is aligning with Victor, even though it’s just a short-term play?
Billy’s quixotic nature means that he can’t control himself. So, his recent pledge to return to the family fold and to pursue goals that Sally agrees with could easily be challenged. This is where Jill’s power could be wielded.
Jill Abbott Is A Force Of Her Own
Jill has had to mother Billy many times during his adult life. Her taking of the Chancellor wasn’t done with malice but with regret because she knew how her son would react.
Cane was Jill’s one-time perceived son. But the eventual reveal of Cane’s true identity all those soapy years ago didn’t serve to break the bond they formed.
Focusing on love, for Billy with Sally and Cane with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), seems to be a proper strategic course. Jill is someone who has gotten through to both men in the past. She can do so again, with viewers likely betting on Billy and Cane’s admiration for her as a telegraphed, decisive tipping point.
