Bethenny Frankel Slams Prince Harry & Meghan for Overreaching — Says They’re ‘Stumbling Blind in Hollywood’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came to America with nothing much but a dream. The nothing much might be a bit of a stretch because Harry had millions of Diana money to get him on his feet, and some financial help from papa – even though he once cried at Oprah that it wasn’t enough.
Anyway, that’s beside the point. The point is that Harry and Meghan had no hard and fast blueprint when they arrived in America. Perhaps had they not arrived with a capacity to get back at the Royal Family they could have found their place easily enough. But several years were lost in a sea of complaining about all things royal. When they came out of that phase, they were met with… Well, nothing. That is also a stretch of the word, yes I know.
Bethenny Frankel Says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Don’t Want To Give Up Multi-million Dollar Lifestyle
It’s no doubt that Harry and Meghan’s early Hollywood days and their later days have so little in common in terms of fame and money. Right off the bat they lost their Spotify podcast deal, and now even their Netflix contract has been dreadfully downgraded.
This, of course, is bound to take a hit on their lifestyle, right? Well, I wouldn’t worry too much if I were them, now that ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ alum has deigned to offer them a winning advice.
“They didn’t want the fame, but they didn’t want to give up the lifestyle, because it’s expensive. Now they’re living in Montecito, and it’s hard for things to land,” Frankel told Us Weekly after she was hailed as the outlet’s entrepreneur of the year.
“It’s hard to land all of those things, and they wanted to do it in a timely manner because they realized there was a certain window of opportunity, so they made all these different deals. And business is really hard,” the 54-year-old Skinnygirl founder, said.
“I respect that relationship and that loyalty to each other, and I just don’t think it’s that easy. If it was so easy, everybody would be good at doing it.” Okay, okay, so keep going then?
Frankel’s comments come after Netflix drastically reduced their contract from a $100 million thing of envy to a first-looks deal that’s been tagged as being basically a no-deal.
