The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Creates Closure – Family Bond Influences Nick

The Young and The Restless: Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) can rest easy. She and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) worked together, and their efforts proved successful again.

Getting Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) to reveal himself was a master stroke that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) facilitated. Viewers suspended disbelief, just as they did when Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) confronted Martin at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

So, the man who kidnapped Sharon and Phyllis has been arrested and is behind bars. That nicely wraps an extended storyline that played out over many months and included Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) considering exploring romance again with his first love.

Time And The Definition Of A Villain Is Subjective

Perspective is personal. Time is not something that any rational person appoints the authority on. Narcissists like Martin, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Ian Ward (Ray Wise), Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), whoever Aristotle Dumas (no actor known to be cast for this role) is, and others believe otherwise.

The range in villainy from Martin to Victor was intentional. One can be a functional megalomaniac without going off the rails, meaning Victor. But impersonating the brother one killed, as Martin did, is a soapy bridge too far.

Martin fooled Traci over a long period. However, like Ashley, she didn’t know Alan Laurent (Cousins in a dual role). Davidson’s character was written off to Paris, France, during most of the time Martin was fooling everyone, making this storyline plausible.

Glory Days In Genoa City Seem So Close

Devoted fans who have followed Y&R for many years do so because they are invested in the characters and the actors who portray them. So, those who have three-decade-plus credentials know Sharon and Nick’s love story well.

Case and Morrow celebrated their thirtieth anniversary on the show last year, as the possibility of a Sharon and Nick comeback tale appeared to take root. But fans of this one-time super couple that was only married once were hesitant.

They’ve been to the altar twice in what proved to be ill-fated attempts at remarriage. This effort could prove to be a gift to loyal fans.

Nick Newman Given The Option By Sharon Newman

An early hint at what might be transpiring appeared to happen after Sharon changed her last name back to Newman in the period after Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died. She reverted to that moniker rather than her maiden name, Collins. Alternatively, she could have kept Rosales.

Sharon’s openness when discussing what she has been feeling for Nick in recent months gave him an opportunity. His feelings for the bond they share through their children have never changed, and his view of her has.

It is now realistic to believe that if Sharon and Nick take that trip to Europe to see Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), they will also consider restarting a personal relationship. Considering the build to this point in the plot, a commitment to reunite could happen any time before summer.
