The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon And Phyllis’ Bond Unbelievable – Wizard of Oz Soon Revealed
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appear to be making a breakthrough. They believe they were captured and are being held together so they can resolve their differences.
Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) name has been recently referenced. Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) question to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) either laid the notorious villain to rest or hinted at his next comeback.
With whoever kidnapped Sharon and Phyllis and whatever reason that was done, the fans might be growing impatient. While it’s great to see Case and Stafford as a duo, their characters’ storyline needs to wrap soon so it can be digestible.
Sharon Newman Passes Important Test
Phyllis held Sharon’s hand after the Wizard of Oz recognized her accomplishments. The digitally altered voice told Case’s character that she’d passed an important test.
What was described as a liberation was near. But no definitive answer was provided when Sharon pressed for one. The sequence looked and felt strange.
Sharon and Phyllis continue to wonder why they were kidnapped together, with a segment of the audience likely wondering the same. Sharon’s question about whether their abductor knows them was unanswered, leaving that part of this unusual storyline a mystery.
Nick Newman’s And Billy Abbott’s Connection Counts
Meanwhile, Nick and Billy are working together to find both ladies. Nick’s assurance to Billy that Sharon was in a good head state and that Phyllis wasn’t inclined to bolt from Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Billy initially thought Phyllis was freelancing by supposedly pursuing Abbott Media business leads without his approval. However, he and Nick believe that the timing of Phyllis’ and Sharon’s calls home implies something is wrong.
Their instinct is right because Phyllis isn’t pursuing business, and Sharon is not in Sedona, Arizona. The calls to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Nick created momentary pacification and nothing more.
Who Is The Wizard Of Oz?
Buzz indicates that Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) is the Wizard of Oz holding the ladies hostage. It could be that Alan died when falling with his identical twin brother, Martin Laurent (Cousins in a dual role), out the window as well.
Assume for a moment that Alan died, and Martin replaced him. That would be the easy solution, as Martin was demented and was impersonating his brother.
However, a more profound twist would have Alan as the survivor and also be demented. He’s a psychiatrist who could also suffer from mental illness and is performing this human experiment, never to be revealed as the abductor.
Either outcome, with Alan or Martin alive, puts Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) in danger. Of course, this assumes that Nick’s confirmation about Ian being cremated was legitimate because the audience saw that he was still alive while being supposedly transported dead to the morgue.
