Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Could Wei Shin’s Return Lead To Tripp And Wendy’s Return?
Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates hint that Wei Shin’s (Clyde Kusatsu) return to Salem could lead to the returns of two other characters. Might Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) return to town as well?
Wei Shin Has Been Summoned!
Mr. Shin has made his grand return to town; this time, however, it’s not the DiMera board members vying for his attention. This time it’s the Kiriakis brothers, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier); he has been one of the few consistent pillars for DiMera Enterprises throughout the years.
They believe that if they can secure his support for Titan, their takeover of the rival company will be a sure thing.
Yet, with Wei Shin back in the picture, we can’t help but reminisce about other comebacks — particularly that of his daughter, Wendy! From her very first appearance, she has been intertwined with Tripp, especially when he and his brother Joey Johnson (Tanner Stine) found themselves in a rivalry over her affections.
Wendy And Tripp Moved To Be Close To Her Parents
Wendy arrived in Salem after her tease in Beyond Salem: Chapter Two and had a short but exciting romance with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman).
Together, they worked to defeat Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel), traveled the world, hacked into some computers, and battled Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and his memory-erasing serum.
However, things changed when she and Tripp got together after Li’s death and their own close call with death; they moved to Hong Kong to be near her family. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) son is always on their minds and often mentioned.
They stay in touch regularly, but Wendy has always been somewhat on the sidelines.
Wendy And Tripp Are Needed In Salem
With Wei Shin’s return to Salem, it raises the intriguing possibility of Tripp following suit. For those skeptical about their potential fit in Salem, consider this: nearly a year has passed since they left in April 2024, and the landscape has shifted significantly.
The hospital is in dire need of additional doctors—assuming it secures the necessary funding to remain operational.
Salem University Hospital is short-staffed, especially after Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) was incarcerated for the foreseeable future. We believe Tripp would have no trouble finding his place back in the community.
Wendy Could Join Black Patch
The possibilities of what Wendy could accomplish are even more thrilling. With John Black (Drake Hogestyn) unaccounted for and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) presumed missing, Tripp’s father is undoubtedly feeling the pressure at Black Patch.
Although Wendy lacks the background of an ISA agent or a police officer, her exceptional hacking abilities would be a tremendous asset to the private investigation team.
She could reunite with Steve at the agency, returning to her fierce roots as a woman who never backed down and was determined to uncover the truth at any cost.
Wendy Could Be Part Of The Black Patch Future, With John Sadly Gone
John, unfortunately, will not be making his way back to Black Patch. Wendy’s return could be the spark she needs to reignite her fierce spirit and pave the way for the next generation to uphold the Black Patch legacy. John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean), once teamed up with his father as a private investigator, and they could team up to continue the noble fight.
Our advice for Tripp and Wendy if they come back? It might be wise to look for a new place to live. No one wants to revisit Connie Viniski’s (Julie Dove) infamous murder scene.
