General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus’ Reason For Killing Off Patients – Is The Criminal Trying To Play God?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that while fans know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is the one who was behind Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) passing, as well as Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) and potentially a slew of other hospital patients, many are perplexed around his reason “why”.
As the criminal has found God during his latest prison stint, does the psychopath believe he’s doing the Lord’s work easing the pain these GH patients are feeling?
GH Spoilers: Cyrus Renault Was Always Looking To Cause Hurt & Pain
GH spoilers remind fans that when Cyrus first arrived on the Port Charles scene in 2020, he began terrorizing the residents of the little town, almost immediately.
From targeting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) – among others – the drug kingpin was also responsible for the Floating Rib Explosion that landed Lulu Spencer (Alex Havins Bruening) in a four-year coma.
In addition, he held Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) hostage, almost causing Jordan’s death, among other crimes.
Still, when Cyrus was sent to prison in the summer of 2021, fans began to notice a change as the weeks and months went by. Cyrus dove into the Holy Bible and it seemed as if the criminal had found God.
Fans have been on the fence as to whether Cyrus has changed for months now, alas, since it was revealed that he’s been behind the digitalis overdoses of Sam and Dex, and others, it’s clear he has not.
But why has he gone on such a killing spree within the hospital? What is his motive behind this?
GH Spoilers: Does Cyrus Renault Believe He’s Doing God’s Work?
While there’s no proof (just yet) that Cyrus was behind Lulu’s malfunctioning ventilator incident, there’s a good chance he could be.
Fans noticed something interesting when Cyrus injected Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) with digitalis recently when he noted that Michael would now no longer be in pain.
Could Cyrus believe he’s conducting “mercy” killings? Alleviating patients from their pain by injecting them with lethal doses of digitalis?
In Dex’s case, he clearly wanted to keep the cop quiet, as he caused the stabbing that landed the newbie cop in the hospital; however, Cyrus may believe that this was a step towards the greater good of his work.
