‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ Courtney Waldrop Shares Tragic Death Of Her Dad, Popsie
Sweet Home Sextuplets star Courtney Waldrop shared the sad news that just weeks before the holidays, her dad, Popsie has passed away. Recently, she’d called for prayers and told her TLC fans that he was very ill. In fact, he was due to receive a lung transplant but didn’t make it.
Courtney Waldrop Took The Family To See Her Dad
The Sweet Home Sextuplets star took all of the nine kids to visit her father before he was transferred to another hospital after being diagnosed with “cystic fibrosis.” Hopeful that he would receive his lung transplant and regain his health, she called for people to pray for him. And they did. TLC fans were very fond of the older man.
When the sextuplets were young, fans of Courtney Waldrop loved that he helped out with the active toddlers. All of them together made him a bit nervous. But, Popsie had a way with his grandchildren, and things didn’t become as chaotic as the quints from OutDaughtered. It was mainly Blu who kept him on his toes.
Sad News About Popsie From The Sweet Home Sextuplets Star
Just one day ago, the mom of Saylor, the twins, Wales and Bridge, and the sextuplets, Blu, Layke. Rawlings, Rayne, Tag, and Rivers shared that her dad’s heart was damaged and he couldn’t survive the surgery. So, he was set for discharge into hospice care at home.
A few hours ago, the Sweet Home Sextuplets star shared the painful news that Popsie had passed away. In that sad Instagram post, Courtney had written:
My Daddy is now rejoicing at the feet of Jesus…
They were loading him up this morning so he could come home to spend his last days with us. The nurses said he was so excited to come home today….
I can’t explain the pain we are all feeling right now. We wanted him to come home so badly. I feel like I’m going to wake up in a minute from a dream and he’ll be here beside us…
Courtney Waldrop and her dad shared a strong faith in Christ, and she believes that one day, they will meet again, But in the meantime, the family is devastated by the loss.
TLC Fans React To The Sad News
Fans and fellow TLC stars reacted to the very sad passing of the family’s grandfather. Danielle Busby was one of the first to post a comment, saying, “I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for comfort for you all.”
