Danielle Busby Breaks Silence On Mom, ‘Mimi’

OutDaughtered used to feature Danielle Busby’s mom, “Mimi.” But she was arrested for DUI and then she completely evaporated from the TLC show. Some fans slammed the quints’ grandmother, but others slammed Danielle and Adam, for abandoning her. In her latest podcast, Mimi’s daughter opened up about their relationship. OutDaughtered – Mimi Is Still Alive

As Mimi no longer even featured on social media, TLC fans thought that perhaps she had died. Over the years, many OutDaughtered viewers felt that Adam Busby’s wife had become very hard. So, if Mimi wasn’t dead, then perhaps she was estranged from her mom. Well, it looks like estrangement is the answer to the questions.

In the latest More Than Reality podcast titled Unfiltered Q & A: Marriage Secrets, Family Struggles, Danielle Busby discussed her mom at some length. Additionally, she talked about how the quints are much closer to Adam’s parents than to Mimi. And they are aware of the estrangement between Grandma Mimi and their mom.

Danielle Busby Explains Her Mom Was Not There For Her

It became evident in the podcast that you can watch further down in this article, that the OutDaughtered mom wanted people to know something important to her. The DUI and the missing Mimi just happened to coincide with other issues. 

Danielle Busby explained to her OutDaughtered fans that Mimi still resides in League City, but they haven’t spoken for more than two years. But, it isn’t a new problem between the two women. Elaborating, Adam’s wife said that her mom hadn’t been there for her when she grew up.

The Estrangement Started As A Child 

Mimi had more than one husband, and that meant no time for the kids. Sometimes, Mimi was there for the kids and other times, she was focused on the man in her life. So, it was a now you see her, now you don’t situation.

These days for the OutDaughtered family, not having Grandma Mimi around seems to have become a normal situation. Actually, it’s not only Danielle but her sisters also have the same mom problems.  Considering that Danielle Busby takes quite a lot of heat from TLC viewers these days, it seemed that she was remarkably honest about a sad situation.
