Luna’s plight is soapy. RJ gained the viewer’s level of knowledge when Luna carefully told him why she felt compelled to leave a resignation letter and planned to depart.
Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) feels certain that she has a say over Luna’s internship length. John Finn Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) mother and Luna’s mother do not get along. To this point in the plot, is the basis of Li insisting that her niece exit FC.

Li spoke harshly about her sister, Poppy (Roma Park). She detailed a backstory that Luna apparently knew but served as a witness so that the audience could be informed.
However, the intensity of Li’s comments did not fit with someone who purely wanted to ward off a family member from being involved with the Forresters. Li was not asking Luna to heed a warning because she believed Yamada’s character was in danger.
Instead, Li identified Luna as the problem. But why would Poppy’s behavior decades ago mean that Luna would cause trouble for Finn’s in-laws?
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Sheila Carter Effect Felt
Li remains alienated from her husband, Jack Finnegan (Ted King). That estrangement exists because Jack hid his affair with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and then compounded the illicit nature of it by falsely claiming Finn was simply a baby who needed to be adopted.
Jack passed off his biological son as someone other than that to shield his affair with Sheila. Li only learned the truth after Finn introduced his birth mother, Sheila, during his and Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wedding reception.
So, Jack’s history of duplicity could imply that he had more than one child. If Li had known about him having a child with Poppy, that probably would have been mentioned before now.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Jack Finnegan’s Additional Family Connection?
Li sternly detailed having vouched for Poppy, when she got a job at the hospital where Matsuda’s character worked as a doctor. This is apparently the same place of employment where Sheila worked as a nurse when Jack met her and then began to cavort with her.
Based on Li’s hardened, emotional feelings about her sister’s creative morality, viewers can make a short leap. Poppy fooled around with a doctor and ruined his reputation. So, was she also involved with Jack, without Li’s knowledge, and had Luna through him on B&B?
