Hallmark Channel: Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison Start Filming For Second ‘Hannah Swensen Mystery’ Movie
Hallmark Channel news and updates tease that the production for the second movie for Hannah Swensen Mystery is underway. Days of Our Lives vet Alison Sweeney is reprising her role, and she’ll be joined by familiar faces, including Cameron Mathison, Barbara Niven, and Gabriel Hogan.
The movie titled Carrot Cake: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is slated to debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries later this year. Sweeney and Mathison will reprise their roles, which they portrayed in the first Hannah Swensen movie titled Sweet Revenge, which aired back in July 2021.
The upcoming flick is based on the books of Joanne Fluke. It follows the story of the discovery of a skeleton during an ongoing building renovation. It will soon be revealed that one of the citizens of Lake Eden isn’t who he claims to be.
Hannah Swensen decides to investigate the case, keeping Detective Mike Kingston out of the loop. She’ll try to figure out the victim’s true identity while uncovering the mystery that led to her death. Hannah also enlists the help of her mother in solving the crime and bringing the culprit to justice.
“The adventures of Hannah Swensen have long been a favorite among our viewers and we’re thrilled to bring them a new mystery they can try to solve at home along with Hannah,” as per Elizabeth Yost, the Senior Vice President of Development at Hallmark Media.
Sweeney, who also serves as the movie’s executive producer, said, “The fans of Hannah Swensen are incredible and we are so excited to make more mysteries to share with them. Plus, working together again with Cam and Barbara is so much fun!”
Sweeney Posts Photo Wearing Hallmark Hoodie
The actress also posted updates about her gig with Hallmark. In an Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of her where she’s wearing a grey Hallmark hoodie.
“Thanks to my friend Benjamin Ayres and the fabulous Romance University sweatshirts for keeping me warm on this chilly day filming in Vancouver,” she wrote in the caption.
Benjamin Ayres also posted Sweeney’s photo and wrote, “Love keeping Alison Sweeney warm and cozy while filming her new movie in Vancouver! Happy shooting! Fingers crossed it’s maybe another Chronicle Mysteries?!”
Prior to the announcement, Hallmark teased their followers with a mysterious photo and hinted that they were working on something big. It also asked if fans can guess what it is, which involves old friends solving a new mystery.
