General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has been one of the best nurses at General Hospital for decades. Living as a single mom, Elizabeth took as many shifts as she could so she could raise her three sons on her own. And although nursing was never her first choice, she has certainly grown to love being a nurse! But Elizabeth recently got caught up in a scheme that could cause her to lose the career she has had for decades.
General Hospital Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber Helped Stefan DiMera Keep Esme Prince Captive!
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was a fugitive and was suspected to be the Hook serial killer. Esme slept with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and ended up pregnant with his child. When Esme tried to break into Nikolas’ safe at Wyndemere, Nikolas caught her and that’s when he discovered Esme was pregnant. Nikolas had no intention of letting Esme keep his baby, especially after the things she has done. He locked her up in one of the towers at Wyndemere and soon realized he needed something in the medical field to help care for Esme while she was pregnant!
General Hospital Updates – Elizabeth Webber Thought She Was Saving Everyone!
Nikolas summoned Elizabeth who was horrified that he was holding a pregnant woman captive. But she agreed that if she was the Hook, she would be able to kill anyone else. Nikolas was going to keep her prisoner anyway and at least Elizabeth could make sure Esme was properly cared for. But then there was another murder and Elizabeth realized Esme hadn’t killed anyone and urged Nikolas to set her free. Nikolas refused. Then Esme jumped out of the turret and turned up on the Haunted Star hours later. Esme seemingly had amnesia but Elizabeth felt guilty and planned to turn herself in.
Elizabeth Webber May Finally Embrace Her True Passion
Elizabeth made a deal with authorities and avoided prison time. But once the review board learns that Elizabeth assisted in keeping a pregnant woman hostage, she might very well lose her job! Although it will certainly be a devastating blow perhaps it will allow her to finally focus on her true passion as an artist. Maybe she and Ava Jerome (Maura West) will bond over Nikolas’ disappearance and Elizabeth will take a job at Ava’s gallery. Or perhaps she will become a Police Sketch artist which would allow her to still have a structured job while at least utilizing the skills she has put aside for so many years!
