The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Adam Prepared For Incoming – Victor Claims Betrayal
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had an epiphany. His happenstance chat with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) proved game-changing. Rather than continue to play high-stakes revenge games with the Newman family, Adam opted to power down.
Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) offer was a plum. But Adam initially rejected it. However, fans assumed Jack’s mention of keeping the door open meant that Adam would revisit the topic. He did, the offer was accepted, and Jabot’s new co-Chief Executive Officer.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Intent To Irk The Moustache
One would be naive to conclude that Adam did not consider the impact his decision to become a Jabot employee would have on the Moustache. While Grossman’s character took Chelsea’s advice to heart and opted to stop pursuing what would have been a self-destructive revenge course, Adam still retains bitter feelings about his father.
There seems to be no getting through to Adam. He believes that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) cover of the self-defense killing of AJ Montalvo (Marcus DeAnda) was wrong.
Adam is choosing to critique Victor’s paternal instinct. He believes that no situation would cause him to break the law if Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) was involved in some similar incident.
The Young And The Restless Updates – What Can Not Be Undone In Wisconsin
Second-guessing Victor became a sport for Adam since he returned to Genoa City, Wisconsin, many years ago. Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) would set her son right. But she is not alive to do so, which is another reason why Adam has been reeling for such a long period.
Hope decided she did not want to raise her son in the harsh GC world that reflected Victor’s reality. Instead, Hope took Adam when he was a child, moved back to her farm in Kansas, and ended her marriage to Victor.
Hope maintained ties with Victor so he could visit with his son. But she did not tell Adam that Victor was his father until her deathbed confession.
Victor Newman Takes It Personally
It is hard, if not logically impossible, to blame Victor for reacting negatively to Adam’s new job. Jack and Victor have been enjoying the longest known truce in the history of these iconic soap rivals.
So, it will be natural for Victor to believe that Jack intends to use Adam as part of a personal slam and potentially a business attack. Jack is not foolish and has certainly prepared a response to Victor’s anticipated outcry on Y&R.
