Counting On Alum Jill Dillard Announces The Gender Of Her Third Baby

Counting On spoilers and updates revealed that Jill Dillard and her husband Derick expect another baby. Recall, last year she suffered a miscarriage. So, fans were delighted to hear that so far, she carried her next baby without complications. On March 23, Jill took to her Instagram and notified fans that they now know the gender of their latest baby.

When the news arrived that Jill miscarried, she told her TLC fans that they had already told the two boys, Sam and Israel about their new sibling. So, it seemed double-devastating when they found out that she lost her third child. Of course, everyone knows that losing a child is one of the most soul-destroying events. However, Jill and Derick have their Christian faith to fall back on. Actually, they named their child River Bliss which sounded gender-neutral. Now that she expects a rainbow baby, fans can’t wait for the gender reveal.

Counting On fans heard earlier this month that Jill is expecting a baby. Unfortunately, they also heard that the whole family went down with covid. However, she reported back this week, that they seem to all be over it now. At one stage, she was understandably worried about having the virus whilst she was pregnant. Well, it also delayed her gender reveal. But on Wednesday, she shared that the time had come to make the grand announcement. So, is she expecting another boy or a little girl?

Counting On – Jill Dillard Already Raises Two Boys

Jill Dillard has many sisters and so far, most of the kids have been girls. Jessa and Jill raise two boys each, but in Jessa’s case, she also has two girls. Plus, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo raise two daughters. Additionally, Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth had a girl after their son was born. So, fans wondered if this time, Jill and Derick might have a baby girl as well. Jill told her TLC fans on her Instagram Stories that they now know the gender. Over on the family blog, the Counting On alums shared some photos of the boys taken by Monique Serra. Then, in the blurb, she revealed that they expect another boy. Jill sounded thrilled about it. She wrote, “We are thankful to have a healthy baby boy due in July!  Your continued prayers are much appreciated.” Additionally, she explained how they made a day of it.

TLC Fans Hear That The Family Made A Celebration Of The Reveal

Counting On fans saw that Jill Dillard and Derick avoided the gigantic party that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar favor for gender reveals. Instead, she said, “We decided to make a special day of it by starting off by eating breakfast together at a local restaurant called the Buttered Biscuit.  Then we did a little shopping before heading to our appointment to learn the exciting news.”
