The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Taylor Jensen (Susan Walters) wants to buy the home that Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) inherited after her father died. Devoted Y&R fans were puzzled when teasers indicated that Walters is apparently reprising her role as Diane Jenkins. They are confused because Diane is dead.

Diane (as last played by Maura West in 2011) was killed by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in self-defense. That makes this comeback preposterous.

Soap operas often explore the fantastic. So, viewers are right to expect a far-fetched explanation that allows Diane to have never died.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was recently seen on a video chat with his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Jack is the man who Diane had Kyle with many years ago. He is her only child.

The Diane character was originally played by Alex Donnelley. She was introduced into the show in the early 1980s. Dianne was a model who married Andy Richards (Steven Ford), who was Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) partner in a detective agency.

Diane, who became an architect, later married Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in the late 1990s, divorced him, and remarried him in 2011, shortly before her presumed death. Victor often mouthed Diane’s name with purposeful contempt, as devoted viewers surely recall.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Allie Nguyen’s Mother Is Seen?

Allie spoke about her mother being a million miles away. Jack said that Allie is not in regular touch with her mother or aunt, Mai Volien (Marianne Rees).

Pronouncing oneself as independent is all well and good. But then radical life changes happen, and those personality types realize that they need love and support than can only be realized through regular contact with other human beings.

It could be assumed that Walters’ character is not Allie’s mother since she did not recognize the lady who referred to herself as Taylor. However, if Diane faked her death, it is possible that she and Keemo Volien Abbott Nguyen (Philip Moon) may have been involved, making Diane Allie’s mom. If not, then Diane is using Allie to reconnect with Jack.

Thankfully Jack Abbott Has Phyllis Summers

Jack will never be ready to learn that Diane is alive. So, it is great he has one of his greatest current champions nearby.

Phyllis will not allow Diane to walk back into Jack’s life and create mayhem that is not immediately responded to. So, whatever Diane’s plans, she will need to deal with what Phyllis responds to in kind.
