The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Richard Burgi Insists Ashland Is No Genoa City Villain
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that star Richard Burgi (Ashland Locke) wants everyone to know that his on-screen character is no villain, as he was the one who was done wrong, seeing how his wife Tara Locke (Elizabeth Lanier) slept with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) behind his back. That affair turned into pregnancy for Tara as it has just now been revealed that her baby actually belongs to Kyle and not Ashland. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Richard Burgi Insists Ashland Locke Is No Genoa City Villain
Ashland is someone who means business and unfortunately for Kyle, he will likely seek major revenge on him. But at the same time, Richard wants Y&R fans to know that he’s no villain. Instead, he’s just someone who feels completely humiliated and disrespected over the fact that his wife would jump into bed with someone other than him. Also, he’s a straight shooter: he put Kyle on the spot by asking him if he indeed did sleep with his wife, which left him completely red-faced, of course.
Speaking to TV Insider in a new interview, Richard says that his character is someone who has had enough experience in his life that he knows when something just doesn’t make sense. He told the site, “Ashland is one of the older bucks and Kyle’s a young buck who has come around to challenge [Ashland] and test him. Ashland sensed something might be awry [before Tara confirmed it].”
The Young And The Restless Updates – Kyle Abbott Should Take Cover
And while Ashland might seem hellbent on getting his revenge against Kyle and perhaps the rest of the Abbott family for being humiliated by this affair, he’s not about to burn anyone’s Genoa City mansion down. At least, not yet.
Richard explains, “A lot like a woman scorned, I think, men, when they get angry, will go past the part that keeps them in check and keeps them from doing heinous things. He wants people to hurt as much as he is hurting. You have time to temper your response. It doesn’t always make it easy. At this stage of his life, Ashland’s been through a lot. Ashland wants to see if he can learn and grow from his mistakes.”
With that said, fans will certainly have to tune in to see what will happen next! Either way, we have a feeling that Kyle should take cover.
