The Ultimate Strawberry Muddy Buddy’s
These Ultimate Strawberry Muddy Buddy’s are the perfect back-to-school snack. All you need is Chex cereal, strawberry cake mix and candy melts and your all ready to make these sweet treats. Kids will enjoy making these Muddy Buddy’s and then taking them to school to share with their friends the next day.
Ingredients
12 oz packge of Wilton pink chocolate candy melts
8 C. Chex cereal, any variety will work
1 box of strawberry cake mix, any brand
2 large Ziploc-type bags
Directions
1. Pour the pink candy melts into a microwave safe dish. Heat in 30 second increments until completely melted. This takes about 2-2.5 minutes in my microwave.
2. Pour the melted pink chocolate over the top of the cereal (see photo). Using a large spoon, stir the chocolate and cereal together to evenly coat the cereal (see photo).
3. Divide the strawberry cake mix evenly between the 2 resealable bags.
4. Pour the chocolate coated cereal into the bags. Seal the bags and shake to completely coat the cereal with strawberry cake mix.
5. Allow the mixture to cool and store in an airtight container.
