Review: Disney’s The Jungle Book 2 (Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital HD)
Our lovable bear friend and Mowgli from the Jungle Book are back!
The tale of Disney’s beloved movie classic continues in the The Jungle Book 2 with new friends and music. To maximize the viewing experience the musical adventure is now available in high definition for the first time.
Now that Mowgli’s living in the “man-village,” he cherishes his new best friend and little brother, but he still has that jungle rhythm in his heart. He misses hanging out with happy-go-lucky Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. Yearning for freedom, Mowgli runs off into the jungle – and encounters his enemy Shere Khan! This time, he’ll need both his new human family and his old jungle friends to help save the day.
I enjoyed that the animation was updated, yet very similar to the original movie. I tend to dislike it when follow-up movies change how the characters look, so I was happy our main friends looked the same. The voice cast is really good too and I particularly enjoyed John Goodman as Baloo.
Children will definitely be entertained watching the Jungle Book 2. I had a good time listening to the new songs with my daughter.
