Pregnancy Strawberry Body Scrub #DIY
Pregnant women need some pampering!
After months of of carrying around a baby, your feet start to hate you! They become sore and swollen to the point that shoes don’t fit anymore. To add to this, as your due date approaches the less desirable it becomes to have a stranger touching those swollen areas.
That’s why I love this simple do it yourself Strawberry Body Scrub. It’s super easy to make and you can pamper yourself in the comfort of your own home before the baby comes. Seeing how it might be hard to reach those feet, enlist the hubby to do the pampering once the body scrub is made!
Ingredients
1 C. Coconut Oil
½ C. sugar
3-4 medium sized fresh strawberries
Strawberry extract (located in the baking aisle near the spices)
4-5 4 oz. Jelly Jars
Directions
Using a small paring knife carefully remove the tops of the strawberries and cut into chunks. In a small bowl use a fork to mash the strawberries (see photo – mixture will be chunky). This will give you enough juice for the nice pink color as well as small strawberry chunks to add to the scrub.
In a medium size bowl, combine the coconut oil, sugar, mashed strawberries and 1-2 drop of strawberry extract (a lot goes a long way) and mix well.
Add the scrub to your 4 oz. Jelly jars.
Print and cut out the labels and place on the lid; the metal ring will hold the label in place. **For a more rustic look, you could also use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top of the label – look through with twine and tie around the lid.
*Makes 4-5 4 oz. Jelly jars. The recipe can also be made smaller or larger depending on how much you would like to make.
Enjoy the pampering!

This may be a really stupid question but would the strawberries go bad after a while? I’m looking for homemade Christmas ideas
I was wondering the same thing
Yes they will. I would use it within 3 days tops or else refrigerate up to a week.
