Easy Turtle Skillet Cookie
Looking for a dessert that looks like you spent hours making, but really took less than an hour? Then try making this delicious Turtle Skillet Cookie. Prep time is about 10 minutes and the actual cook time is 20ish minutes. No need to slave away! This cookie is the perfect accompaniment to any get together and guests will sure to love the chocolate and gooey caramel sweetness!
Ingredients
¾ cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup chopped pecans
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
2 cups flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Toppings: caramel, chocolate, and extra pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Stir. Add in eggs, vanilla bean paste, flour, baking soda, pecans, and salt. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread batter into greased cast iron skillet. Bake for about 20 minutes, removing from the oven while cookie is still slightly gooey. Don’t overbake!
Drizzle with caramel, chocolate, and extra pecans.
