Just in Time For the Holidays! New Julius Jr. Books
Are your kids loving the new season of Julius Jr.?
My 3-year-old daughter can’t get enough of the Nick Jr. cartoon and was ecstatic to find out that the funtime with her favorite monkey continues once the TV is off. Just in time for the holidays, Random House Children’s Books has released a full range of color and activity books, leveled readers, storybooks and novelty books for preschool-aged kids.
Hall of Doors
This large, sturdy board book has flaps to lift featuring Julius Jr., Clancy, Ping, Sheree, and Worry Bear and will let kids discover what’s behind each wildly inventive door in the Hall of Doors. This fun book is now available for purchase at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
Inventing Time
This book includes four chunky crayons, six watercolors, and a sturdy paintbrush; which allow kids to invent their way through this interactive book.
I really enjoyed that the pages could be detached rather than pulled out. My daughter had a lot of fun painting Julius Jr. and his friends and got a kick out of sticking her artwork on the fridge!
The activity book can be purchased at Amazon.
Howdy-Doodle-Do
This Step 1 Readers book features big type and easy words. Rhymes and rhythmic text paired with picture clues help children decode the story. For children who know the alphabet and are eager to begin reading.
This book can be purchased at Amazon.
Julius Jr. has also launched its first full interactive 3D app based on the series, with fun activities designed for preschoolers to play on tablets and mobile devices. The app is now available on the App Store ($2.99) for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Included here is a promo code that will allow you to download this SPARKLE-RIFFIC app FOR FREE to review and enjoy it with your kids!
New episodes of the second season of Julius Jr. can be seen on Nick Jr. every Saturday at 1pm.
For more information visit the Julius Jr. Website and follow the series on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube.

What a great idea for a gift for my toddler. Thanks for sharing, he loves to color and I know he would love the book.
Very cute! Those paint and crayon books are a great activity for young kids, just don’t forget to put down newspaper on the table when doing the paint activity!
Ooh, awesome! We don’t have Nick Jr on TV, so the nephew wouldn’t recognize the characters, but I love adding colouring books and activities both as a stocking stuffer, and just as an everyday thing to help him explore, learn and get creative, and these books like a fun time! 🙂
I do not know this cartoon, but I am pretty sure my little cousins do. They are pretty much glued to Nick Jr. everyday of life. These books would make cute Christmas gifts, I’m off to check them out on Amazon.
What an adorable series. I have never heard of these but will definitely check them out.
We have Julius Jr fans at home. I can wait to get this for them and have fun together!
My son loves this! He has the action figure and everything.
This looks like an adorable show, and it’s great when kids can interact with their favorite characters through books and apps.
My 7 year old daughter is crazy about Nick Jr and loves all the shows that make it great. It was used as part of a rewards system for her with her ADHD issues and I loved that I can sneak in learning at the same time.
These are so cute! My kids would love these readers and activity books.
These books are so cute and I love their characters. I also like that they promote creativity and art.
I am afraid I don’t know who this is because my girls are older. But I do love the cute characters.
My daughter would love to play with. Besides it will help her with her reading.
I’m a big fan of games/toys/books that help encourage children to read. Looks like a really cute book.
Very cool. My twins will love this.
My daughter is a big Julius Jr fan. I didn’t know they had this, but now that I do I have got to buy it for her for Christmas. I love it that kids can interact with their favorite characters and shows even after the tv episode ends.
I’ve never seen a Julius Jr. show. It does look like it’s so cute!
My toddler knows nothing about Julius Jr but I know she’ll love these kind of books, especially if it has anything to do with coloring.
