The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily Chooses Cane, But Malcolm Has One Major Condition

The Young and The Restless: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) took a long time to forgive Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). But what he did for Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) meant the world to her.

Lily’s offer to Cane was unexpected. She wants him to head Chancellor, after just receiving it from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

The Moustache made good on his promise to give the company his longtime friend, Catherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), led through her death in 2013. That gift was the realization of a deal Lily made with Victor, where she was complicit in convincing Cane that his family was in peril.

Victor Newman In The Mix

Victor’s delivery of Chancellor to Lily didn’t include his anticipation that she would tap Cane to head the company that Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) grandmother famously led. But she has control of it and trusts Cane because of what he did for Malcolm.

The bone marrow transplant happened because Cane was a match. But that doesn’t matter to Victor, who is using Matt Clarke (Roger Howarth) as part of a new plan.

Matt believes he needs to make amends to the Newman family, with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) the man he owes the greatest debt to. So, with Nick’s endorsement of Victor’s idea, Matt reluctantly agreed to ingratiate himself in Cane’s life so he could report back to Braeden’s character.

Malcolm Winters’ Paternal Instinct Intact

Malcolm is an upfront guy. He checked himself out of the New York hospital so he could see his loved ones and Cane in person.

Thanking Cane was top priority. But he also warned him in no uncertain terms to never hurt her again. If that happened, Cane would have to deal with Malcolm.

Devon and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) have a similar view of Lily’s two-time ex-husband. They don’t trust him and feel that she shouldn’t either.

The Young and The Restless: Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore)

As Malcolm said, he knows that Lily makes her own decisions, and he’s not going to try to guide her toward or against Cane. Flynn’s character, who had an epiphany and has reverted to being the good-hearted man Lily first fell in love with, got the message and wants what’s best for her as well.

Lily Winters Open To Love

Cane believes restoring their family is best for Lily. A recent text from the twins supports his optimism, as their children are also opening their hearts because of what he did for Malcolm.

The fans recognize that Cane and Lily are rekindling their romance. It feels like Victor’s targeting of him will serve to forge their bond even more deeply, with remarriage likely.

At some point in the developing plot, Cane is bound to learn that Matt isn’t legitimate. Someone could reveal his cover, or Cane determines that himself. Lily will be upset that Victor intended to attack the man who helped Malcolm and undermine Chancellor’s new head.
