Tiffany Score & Steven Mills Find Bio Parents In IVF Mix-Up
Tiffany Score and Steven Mills find Shea's biological parents but still face a mystery over their own missing embryos.

Tiffany Score and Steven Mills discovered that their IVF baby wasn’t theirs but they reached at least some conclusions in the search for the real parents of their child that Tiffany birthed. The question is, will they keep the baby named Shea? And what about their own embryos that might have ended up with other parents? Read on to find out more.
It’s Been A Scary Time
People confirmed that after months of searching, the Florida couple confirmed on April 22 that the biological parents of their daughter were identified. Originally, ABC News reported that Tiffany Score and Steven Mills feared that some other folks might arrive and demand that they hand over Shea. However, the updates suggest nothing like that happened.
The outlet shared that Attorney Jack Scarola explained that the genetic parents haven’t made any demands for the four-month-old girl. Possibly out of concern of backlash for the real parents, Score and Mills stated that they fully intend to “cooperate in respecting” the privacy of the biological parents and will keep their identities confidential.
Will they Keep The Baby?
The article noted that it seems as if Tiffany Score and Steven Mills will keep baby Shea. The outlet cited them as saying, “Only one thing is as absolutely certain today as it was on the day our daughter was born…we will love and will be this child’s parents forever.”

Obviously, some legal communication went on between both sets of parents. Certainly, it would be a complex case if they contested the “ownership” of who should raise the child. So, folks can only presume that some agreement arrived between the couples.
The Missing Embryos
While keeping Shea seems nice, the question over where Tiffany and Steven’s embryos landed up remains. People cited attorney Jack Scarola as saying that “remaining questions about the fate of Tiffany and Steven’s unaccounted for embryos…are still pending.”
How many of their three embryos were used with other parents can’t be answered right now. But it plays on their mind as to where any of them might be now.
How It Went Wrong
Tiffany and Steven welcomed baby Shea in December 2025, but quickly realized the child didn’t share their physical traits. Later, DNA tests confirmed the clinic implanted the wrong embryo.
Now that their own biological embryos remain missing, answers might not be all that easy to get. Apparently, the clinic involved announced it’s closing its doors.
Viewers React
The shocking mix-up makes people, who saw the post about it on Instagram, wonder just how many more mistakes were made by the IVF clinic. At this time, it doesn’t seem as if the biological parents of Shea got Tiffany’s embryos. So, the chances are they weren’t a direct mislabeling from the beginning between two sets of parents.
One follower wrote, “And they just found out cause it was obvious. Imagine how many others there are that aren’t so obvious!”
Here are a few more reactions from discussion:
- I’d want my real baby. They can’t possibly keep a child that isn’t theirs.
- Adoption is a thing, ya know? I love my son as much as anyone can and he’s not my ‘real baby.’ Biology does not make a family, love does.
- So I read the article. The baby’s bio parents are not pursuing custody? Is that why you’re keeping their names confidential?
- Absolutely tragic. Nobody wins here.
