Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) sits on the opposite side of the fence. While she shares many common GC enemies with Tucker, Diane has positioned herself far better than Tucker. But her backstory implies cautious optimism.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was outraged when Diane announced herself as alive in Los Angeles, California. He was staggered by her selfish choice to make their son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), believe she was accidentally killed by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) during his childhood.
However, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) drew Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to town in hopes of forcing Diane out. That plan backfired so badly that Phyllis, not Diane, is still suffering the resonating effects.
Through it all, Jack came to sympathize with Diane, seeing her as the victim of Jeremy’s criminal manipulation and Phyllis’ petty vengeance. His love for Diane blinds him to any current critiques, including those of the Abbott family.

Only the harshest critics of Diane would not compliment her progress or only claim that it was deceptively earned. There is no reasonable doubt that she admitted her guilt, apologized to those loved ones she wronged, and has been loyal to the Abbott family.
Diane loves Jack, as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) acknowledged. She also is committed to being a good mother to her son, which Kyle values.
It is fair to comment about her rise to power within Jabot. Jack’s personal preference, in promoting her to the Chief Talent Officer position she suggested, is questionable but has not created adverse outcomes yet.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall Wants Revenge
Tucker may be harboring some notion that he can take over Jabot and provide it as a make-good gift to Ashley. That despite her telling him during their honeymoon in Paris, France, that she does not want to harm her family.
St. John’s addition to the cast has proven marvelous. He is a solid actor who consistently delivers in the daytime.
This storyline is compelling because there is no sure way to predict if Tucker or Diane will win or whether both will suffer self-induced losses, as has been their pattern on Y&R.
